Title: Who do You Imitate?

THEREFORE BE imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father].
Ephesians 5:1 AMPC
Devotion: There's a Yoruba saying that " the offspring of an elephant will always resemble the elephant, it cannot resemble buffalo". In real life condition that is how it is "like father like son" but does it have to be so? Yes and No.
 In the sinful nature of man the children take after their parents in sinful life and sin is perpetuated. But God sent His son Jesus Christ to change all that, John 3:16, because God loves you and me. We don't have to have same sinful life like our earthly parents because we have a new father in God. 
 When we give our lives to Christ we become adopted children of God and it behooves on us to live like our dearly beloved father -God and not like earthly father anymore. So YES, we must imitate our father God and NO, we must not imitate our earthly sinful father.
  Dearly beloved, who do you imitate- earthly parents or God? Let's think about it today and adjust appropriately. Let's return to God as good children only bad children take to sinful nature like their parents do.

Title: Wisdom from God.

Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV [5] Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths. Devotion:  If you’ve ever gone on a trip somewhere you’ve never been, you know how important it is to have a map. Maps help us navigate the unknown areas ahead. Similarly, God’s Word helps us navigate through the unknown seasons of life. It reveals God’s wisdom, which can be essential in guiding our lives.  The book of Proverbs is filled with wisdom and knowledge that helps people live according to God’s purposes for their life.
