God's Hospitality

"Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. 1 Chronicles 16:11" Devotion : The opening scripture forms part of the song David sang to the Lord. David had realized the importance of seeking the Lord for His strength; in fact he had realized the benefits of the continual face seeking of the Lord. God is ever ready to host His children who call on Him; He is never weary or bored by His children. God is very hospitable and receives everyone with open arms. There is nothing too little to speak to Him about; He is always ready to listen to us. Dear reader, be encouraged to discuss everything on your mind with the Lord. God Wants the Best for You!

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 2 (KJV) Knowing that God wants the best for you puts your mind at rest. God doesn’t only want the best for us but He is also working out the best for us. We can see this in the Garden of Eden. Eden was like heaven on Earth; it had all the good things one could think of, and God gave it all to Adam and Eve (Genesis 2:15). When sin came into the world, He sacrificed His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, for the sin of mankind. Dear beloved, meditate on the opening scripture and receive wisdom, knowing that God wants the prosperity of your soul and body. He wants you to be successful both spiritually and physically. Meditate on His Word daily, and your spirit will be ready to receive direction from Him, even how to manifest this prosperity for your physical enjoyment. Hallelujah! Remain prosperous! Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, thank you for desiring and working out the b...

True Joy

"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11" Devotion : There is only one place that the fullness of joy can be found: this place is the presence of God. In the old covenant the priest and the prophets were the only people who could come to the presence of God. However, in the new covenant the children of God are born into the presence of God. This shows that as a child of God you can live in continuous joy if you fellowship with the Word of God and the Spirit of God. God causes His children to will and do His good pleasure; this happens when the child of God has developed an obedient heart. Dear reader, do you live in continuous joy? Title : Constant

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:8" Devotion : It has been established that the only thing that is constant is change. In other words, everything under heaven goes through a period of change. However, everything in heaven does not change; Jesus Christ in heaven and on earth does not change. He remains the Son of God forever: the same yesterday, and today, and forever. This makes Jesus Christ relevant for all generations. "To reinforce your beliefs try and ask anything from God in the name of Jesus you'll receive it if you believe. That should be enough evidence for you that Jesus is alive and relevant till eternity"   If you are reading this message and you don't have Jesus as Lord and Savior in your life, say "Dear Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God, I receive you into my life today as Lord and Savior, I am born again and I receive eternal life into my spirit, amen." God bless you. Share your testimo...

Do You Want an Abundance of Grace and Peace?

“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,” 2 Peter 1:2 (KJV) The Christian race requires grace and peace in order to enjoy fellowship with the brethren and accomplish the tasks of the ministry. The grace and peace we need vary at every stage of Christian growth. No wonder Apostle Peter prayed that grace and peace would be multiplied for his converts. Dear beloved, be wise enough to ask for more grace and peace any time you encounter difficulty in your walk with God (Hebrews 4:16). Grace will give you the enablement and favor to win the support of people, and the peace of God will calm every storm and give you the right atmosphere to work and accomplish your divine assignment. It doesn’t just come by asking but diligently searching the Word of God to back your request, because God only hears and answers His Word. Continually search His Word, and you will find the grace and peace to reach whatever level you have purposed to go to. Hallel...

Do You Consider Yourself Religious?

“If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” James 1:26–27 (KJV) Religion is defined as belief in and reverence for God, our creator and the ruler of the universe. It is also an organized system of doctrine with an approved pattern of behavior and a proper form of worship. Being religious without knowledge is devoid of rewards. Christianity is not a mere religion; it is the life of God reigning in the heart of a person, causing him or her to have fellowship with God and live the way He wants them to. However, there is a religion in Christianity; this is what the opening scripture seeks to elaborate. It starts with having full control over your tongue; it continues with visiting the fatherless and widows, especially in their distress; ...

Is Your Faith Being Tried?

“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter 1:7–9 (KJV) An awareness that the child of God needs to come to terms with is the fact that their faith will be tried in the process of becoming mature. A Christian who complains in trying times shows their ignorance, and they are likely to fail. It should now be clear to us that trials are part of the Christian life, and if we want to mature and be ready for greater tasks and blessings, then we must embrace trials and continue through to the end. Remember that if we suffer for Christ Jesus, we shall also glory in Him (Romans 8:17). In the opening scripture, we can see that trials produc...

The Beauty of God Is Upon You!

“And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.” Psalm 90:17 (KJV) The beauty of the Lord is the favor of God. It is the Lord’s act of kindness beyond what is due or normal. He is calling everyone to salvation because He wants us to enjoy His limitless favor. His beauty or favor makes a big difference in our lives. For example, when the fullness of time came for Jesus Christ to be conceived, a young virgin, Mary, was singled out to facilitate the conception of the Lord. When the angel appeared to her, he said she had found favor with God (Luke 1:30). Today the story of Jesus Christ cannot be complete without the mentioning of Mary. Dear beloved, if you are born again, His favor is upon you. Activate this favor through righteous and holy living, and then you will position yourself for extraordinary blessings (Proverbs 12:2). Hallelujah! You are favored! Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father,...

Anxiety Free

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6" Devotion : God Has given His children an antidote to be free from all anxiety. He is such a loving and gracious God to give us such wonderful keys. The keys to overcome anxiety are prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving. Prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving produce the peace of God, which will completely get rid of anxiety from our hearts and minds. This peace also guards our hearts from outside intrusion. God's Faithfulness

"Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. Psalm 119:90"   "It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness". Lamentations 3:22-23 Devotion : The faithfulness of God cannot be questioned because it is evident for everyone to see in the scriptures. When man is faithless God remains faithful. God was faithful with Adam and Eve even though they sinned against Him. God was also faithful with Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, etc. The names mentioned are from different generations, attesting to the fact that God's faithfulness extends to all generations. In our present day, God is still faithful; He has been faithful to me and my family. Dear reader, has God been faithful to you? Response to Reno in thisThisday live newspaper - Gambari and other stuff

Reno has just done his job - opposition propagandist, there are many inexactitudes in the write up.  Concerning Gambari I don't know him, but I know that once you or your work is contrary to USA dream or action plan the next thing is to plot your removal yes removal of even head of governments since coup and military dictatorship is not fashionable they assist the opposition to remove incumbent with propaganda, street protest, uprising ( failed in Syria bcos another power supported incubent) successful in Cote De'Voir. This uprising was failing in Libya they - USA, France had to physically eliminate another country's head of state. I bet Libya is enjoying it so much today if you know you know. Where opposition uprising cannot do it they sponsor guerilla warfare against the country. The whole West Africa Sahel region in my mind. The powers pretend they assisting you to over come them and sell arms and ammunition to you and the rebels. Who losses. Both of you, Nigeria is figh...

Random thoughts on bad leadership.

Let's get something right - the govt we have is a reflection of who we are - corrupt, tribalist, liars, lazy, educated illiterates. There's no other way to define our politicians since1999. We have continually elect corrupt, tribal, selfish and greedy persons. They are Nigerians, they are what we have been able to send forward. We said PDP was bad we voted her out for what we thought will be a good govt, alas we have worst scenario. If we still vote a third party it will still be same bcos they are Nigerians. So why don't we begin to examine ourselves each person examine yourself and begin to live right, stop cutting corners, start obeying laws, stop kleptomania in work places, start putting right persons in right places, start following merit, let's forget tribes, religion or language. If we can not do it by ourselves then we need very hot iron hand to do it for us, we need a Stalin who will not have a friend or foe, who will not steal. We need Suharto, a Mao, someone ...

Why You don't Receive Answers for Your Prayers.

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.” James 1:5–7 (KJV) Receiving answers to prayers makes prayer a time of feasting. The reason some Christians don’t go to prayer meetings is because they don’t receive answers and feel it’s just a waste of time. The key to receiving answers to prayers is found in the opening scripture: It is asking in faith. Some don’t receive answers because they don’t ask in faith; they ask in doubt. Dear beloved, any time you pray about something, never complain or worry about that thing again (Mark 11:23). Complaining and worrying are signs of doubt, and they stop the power of God from manifesting the answers to our prayers. Instead, sing praises to God, declare that you have recei...

Covid19 red alert confirmed cases riot, escape or simply refuse to show up for isolation or treatment

MY RESPONSE TO THE DEBATE ON DISQUS UNPUBLISHED BY VANGUARD NEWSPAPERS NIGERIA  This is what you get in an under developed, mostly illiterate democracy. The people are largely not disciplined, claiming freedom where there's non. They forgot that their freedom ends where other people's freedom starts. How can you claim freedom when you can infect another person who may die though you will not. Everyone has to obey the law to get rid of the pandemic.  The social media is awash with sceptism and disbelief just bcoz covid19 has not been killing many people in Nigeria unlike in Europe and America. Every Tom, Dick and Harry claiming that they can treat Coronavirus patients which of course is a false claim as they can only manage the symptoms till the body gets rid of the virus by itself.  I appeal to Nigerians to get serious and stay in isolation so that our senior relatives will not contract it and die.  The govt should make the isolation centres comfortable and give at l...

Stop Fear Before It Hinders Your Progress!

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” Deuteronomy 31:6 (KJV) Fear is a spirit that comes for the devil and his demons. Remember that the first time fear appeared in the life of mankind was when Adam and Eve sinned against God (Genesis 3:10). Fear is the product of the Fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden. The enemy casts fear into our lives when he foresees us making progress in the Lord. Dear beloved, it is not a sin to be afraid, but it becomes a sin if you allow it to stop you from carrying out what you ought to do for the Lord and humanity. To overcome fear, you need to be strong and courageous, knowing that God is with you. Therefore, in the midst of your fear, declare, “God has not given me the spirit of fear; I have power, love, and a sound mind. Fear, I command you to disappear” (2 Timothy 1:7). Then go ahead and speak in tongues, and the fear will disa...

Unemployment and underemployment in Nigeria

The story is not different from what happens in other countries, but Nigeria's case is compunded by 1) defficient educational system, while other countries emphasis technical education  and pay them better we emphasis BK BK jerusalem ie social sciences, political science etc and employ them to supervise engineers, doctors etc. Those with HND are poorly rated in Nigeria so everyone wants a degree in engineering. A Nigerian trained B Sc.Eng cannot design ordinary plastic water pump to use in his house, cannot fix electrical fault in his house though he is BSc elect. Eng. An HND holder will simply fix all these.  2) Then there's a place of pride - how can I be a graduate and start farming? If you farm you'll do better than an illiterate.  3) Lack of govt assistance, I will say govt has very significant role to play in creating employment opportunities for citizen - cheap power supply, rural electrification, rural roads, encourage people in small group to get interest free lo...

Is Jesus God?

“And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.” Hebrews 1:6 (KJV) The subject that some people find difficult to understand is the deity of Jesus Christ. Due to this misunderstanding, some have rejected Jesus Christ and can’t enjoy the salvation that He has brought to mankind. The opening scripture is one of the scriptures that confirms the lordship of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is indeed God, and that is why the Father asked all the angels to worship Him. God is a Spirit, and He cannot reveal His infinite being to mankind, because we cannot endure it (Exodus 33:20). Thus He decided to reveal Himself in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ so that mankind will be able to see Him. No wonder Jesus said to Philip, “He who has seen Me, has seen the Father” (John 14:9). Jesus Christ knew who He was, so He was bold to tell the Jews, “I and My Father are one” (John 10:30). Dear beloved, Jesus Christ is God, so endeavor to...

It Is Not the Gospel of Condemnation!

“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:17 (KJV) The gospel is the solution to the problems facing the world. It is the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ, a message of faith, love, and hope. Jesus Christ didn’t condemn anyone in His ministry on Earth. He gave everyone the opportunity to experience the love of God. The opportunity to experience the love of God is still available today. What you need is to approach Him in faith wherever you are and ask Him to come into your heart. Then He will come in and transform your life. You will have hope and a reason to live again. Dear beloved, don’t throw away your life because of the challenges you are going through. Money, drugs, alcohol, sex, etc., cannot solve the problem that only Jesus Christ can solve. Call on Jesus Christ now, and you will be saved (Romans 10:13). Hallelujah! God bless you! Prayer Point: Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I believe you died for my sins a...

God Needs Your Total Devotion!

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” Deuteronomy 6:4-5 (KJV) One of the names of God is Jealous (Exodus 34:14). Due to His jealous character, He doesn’t want to share the fellowship of His children with another god. He wants our undivided attention and total devotion to Him alone. What He requires from us is written in the opening scripture: our heart, soul, and might (body). He doesn’t just want some of them but all of them. When Jesus Christ came on the scene, He confirmed the opening scripture as the greatest of all the commandments (Matthew 22:37–38). Dear beloved, don’t allow the pressures of this world or anything else to take your full devotion away from the LORD. It is easy for money, power, fame, and sin to steal your heart and undivided devotion to the Lord. Make time to meditate on the Word of God day and night, fellowship with the Holy Spirit, and involve you...

Rest in our Father

"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. Hebrews 4:9" Devotion : The only people who have been promised true rest are the children of God. The only place you can find rest is in Christ Jesus, for there is no rest for the wicked. Dear reader, do you share the gospel? Kindly let people know that heaven is real and hell is real: heaven gives eternal rest and hell gives eternal damnation and restlessness. God bless you. Are You Ashamed of His Testimony?

“Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;” 2 Timothy 1:8 (KJV) There is one thing that God expects from all His children, and that is to love Him with all our hearts, minds, and strength. Anyone who truly loves God will love Jesus Christ, and our love for Christ is demonstrated by testifying of His love and goodness for mankind. Jesus Christ was not ashamed to die naked on the cross for our sins; likewise, we shouldn’t be ashamed to share His testimony with others. Even in our afflictions or challenges, we should still testify about Him, and He will take away our challenges in His time. Remember that if you are ashamed of Him, He will also be ashamed of you (Luke 9:26). Let us be bold everywhere to bear the name of Christ and share the gospel. Hallelujah! Be a true witness! Prayer Point: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for saving me. I will never be ashamed of you;...

What Are You Thirsty For?

“For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:” Isaiah 44:3 (KJV) The Most High knows how to satisfy His children with good things. Jesus Christ said even human beings who are evil give good gifts to their children, so how much more will God, who is good, give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him (Luke 11:13). Dear beloved, God knows everyone under the sun. If you are thirsty for Him, He will satisfy your thirst by giving you His Spirit. When the Holy Spirit takes residence up in you, there will be no limit to the blessings He will pour into your life. All that He requires from you is to trust and cooperate with Him through His Word. If you are born again, the Holy Spirit is already in you, so get to know Him through His Word and fellowship with Him. Ask for all the spiritual gifts that you want, and be ready to do whatever He asks you to do; then all your spiritual and physical...

Seedtime and Harvest.

"While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Genesis 8:22" Devotion : Is it not wonderful to hear this? Of course it is, there are things that remain on earth. Seedtime and harvest are two events that are in our power to readily control. If you ignore seedtime, don't expect a harvest; they go together. Our day to day activities comprise doing something that will bring us a harvest or doing nothing to reap no harvest. The other elements such as cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night exist to enhance our seedtime and harvest. Dear reader, are you doing something useful that will give you a good harvest? http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

How to Pray

"After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Matthew 6:9" Devotion : Jesus Christ did not want the disciples of his day and those of today to pray amiss so he gave a format for prayer. First of all, you need to acknowledge God as your Father; meaning you need to have a personal relationship with him. Secondly, worship and praise him, and welcome his presence. Thirdly, ask his will to be done in your life as it is in heaven. Fourthly, ask for your pressing need especially your daily provision. Fifthly, forgive all who have wronged you and ask God to also forgive you for your sins. Sixthly, pray for his power of deliverance from evil and temptation. Finally, ascribe praise unto him. When we about to pray we should have all these at the back of our mind, especially worship/praise, and thanksgiving before our request; as we do these in faith and receive in faith every prayer we make will be made in joy. http://play.google.com/store/a...

Check that room once in while.

Good morning and thank God it is Tuesday May 5 , 2020  BE CHECKING THAT ROOM ONCE IN A WHILE:*. Author unknown   There was this young ,poor & wretched hunter guy. His family was nothing to write home about. He was very poor & miserable. One day, the king of his village died & when they consulted the oracle, this young man was picked to be the next king despite the fact that his linage has nothing to do with the kingship linage. On the day of coronation, he wept so bitterly as he could not imagine the crown being  put on his poor head.  After the coronation, he asked that an extra one room should be built in the palace compound & the only things in that room   are just his catapult, hunting boots, hunting dresses & all his hunting instruments. Any time he is tempted to be proud, arrogant or to think too high of himself or to talk rudely to his people under him, he will go to that room & once he sees all his hunting instruments ...

HAVE YOU BEEN COUNTED FSITHFUL?

“And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.” 1 Timothy 1:12–13 (KJV) Faithfulness is a virtue that God likes to see in His children. He wants to be around those who will be loyal to Him forever. The test of faithfulness can be seen throughout the Bible. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, and Jesus Christ were tested and rewarded for their faithfulness. Likewise, Apostle Paul was found to be faithful with the assignment God gave him. He went through shipwreck and was stoned, beaten, whipped, etc., yet he never gave up on preaching the gospel (2 Corinthians 11:23–27). Dear beloved, are you faithful with the assignment God has given you? Learn from Apostle Paul, and continue to be faithful in the midst of your challenges; then God will reward you in the end if you don’t give up. Halleluja...

OVERCOMING TEMPTATIONS

"And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Matthew 4:3" Devotion : The faithfulness of God allows every man to be tempted within his ability; therefore, God does not allow us to be tempted beyond our ability to overcome. He provides a way for us in his Word to win over temptation, therefore, instead of complaining what one needs to do is to find that way of escape in the midst of the temptation. If you don't find it what do you do? What you do is to pray for God to show you that way of escape. (Also don't put yourself in a situation where by devil can easily tempt you eg staying behind locked doors alone with a woman, keeping money that does not belong to you at home rather than in the bank, borrowing church money with intention to pay back etc) Quote the scripture above to him and He will give you an answer. He also gives us the grace to bear temptations just as He gave Jesus Christ the grace to end...

THE LORD IS WITH YOU!

“Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (KJV) Being conscious of the presence of God in you makes it easy to cooperate with Him. The believers in Thessalonica had peace reigning in their hearts, but Apostle Paul still prayed for them to have peace. It tells us that sometimes the situation that we find ourselves in can rob us of the peace we have. At other times, we forget that the Lord is with us, because of the challenges we are going through. Dear beloved, just us Apostle Paul prayed for the believers to have peace, we can also pray for ourselves at any time for our own peace. In the atmosphere of peace, we can hear the voice of God and respond to His leading. Any time we feel like God has abandoned us, it is the right time to continually declare, “The Lord is with me,” and that anxious feeling will disappear (Mark 11:23–24). He has said that He will never leave us nor forsake us, so let us declare that the Lo...

Straight Gate

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Matthew 7:13" Devotion : Jesus made it clear according to the opening scripture that there are only two gates in the world: one leading to eternal life and the other leading to destruction.  The names of the gates are straight/narrow gate and broad/wide gate. The straight gate represents Jesus Christ and the broad gate represents the devil. Entering the narrow gate is asking Jesus Christ to be Lord and Saviour of your life and making diligent effort to follow him. The straight gate consists in discipline, holiness, submission, and obedience to God's Word. Due to the nature of the narrow gate many people avoid it because they want to live as they please. On the other hand, the broad gate consists in indiscipline, selfishness, sins, and the pleasures of this world. Many people choose the wide gate because of the cares and pleasures...

You have the right to stay away from them!

“Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.” 2 Thessalonians 3:6 (KJV) Understanding who you are in Christ will guide you in making the right decisions and choices. As a child of God, it is wise to consider the people we choose to walk with in the Christian journey. There are different levels of maturity even among the brethren. No wonder there are some Christians who are prompt in submitting to authority and the leading of the Spirit of God. However, there are others who don’t submit to authority and are fond of disobeying the leading of the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 4:10). Such Christians don’t live according to the teachings in God’s Word and thus live an undisciplined life. Dear beloved, be wise to identify such people and stay away from them. They can influence you to be like them and lose the blessings of God. Instead, choose the compa...
