Title : The Enemy Not a Factor

"Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Psalm 23:5" Devotion : The psalmist came to the point in his life that he realized that when God is with you, He makes even your enemies to be at peace with you. David was anointed king over Israel in front of his brothers, who never loved him. Truly a table was prepared before him in the presence of his enemies. God prepared David to ascend the throne of Israel, and he became the best king ever to have ascended the throne of Israel. The enemies could not stop him from becoming king. Likewise the enemy and his cohorts of darkness cannot stop the children of God from fulfilling God's dream. If you are reading this devotion and you are born again, know that you have enemies but they cannot stop you from becoming what God has planned for you. If you believe it, say amen. Title : Believing Lifestyle

"Then saith he to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. John 20:27" Devotion : Jesus Christ of Nazareth has designed a lifestyle for Christians. This a lifestyle of continual believing in the Word of God and the work of God. The Apostle Thomas was a man who lived by the principle of the world: the principle that states that seeing is believing. However, when he encountered Jesus Christ after His resurrection, he learned to adopt a new principle from Jesus Christ. Jesus taught him that in order to see or materialize the Word of God, he must first believe; hence, believing is seeing. This principle is also designed for us to live by today. We must live a life of continually believing in the Word of God and the work of God if we want to enjoy all the promises of God pertaining to our lives. Dear beloved, what Christian principles do you live by? Share your thoughts here! h...

Title : No Condemnation

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1" Devotion : When a person is born again, he is delivered from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of Christ Jesus. This born again Christian is delivered from condemnation. Those who reject the gospel are condemned because they did not believe, and Jesus said the Word, which they have heard and rejected, will condemn them (John 3:18). There is another kind of condemnation that is meted to Christians who walk in the flesh. To walk in the flesh is to walk in your own understanding; examples are talking from the senses and engaging in all manner of sins. On the other hand, the Christians who walk in the Spirit are not condemned. To walk in the Spirit is to talk faith, confess the Word of God, do the Word, and engage in godliness. Dear beloved, what kind of Christian are you? Are you a Christian who lives by your senses or a Christian who ...

Title : Bright Future

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105" Devotion : The Word of God is all that we need as believers in Christ Jesus to succeed. The Word has nourishment for the present and the future. Everything expires, but the scriptures do not expire, neither do they become obsolete; they were relevant to the saints of old, and they are still relevant to the saints of today. The Word of God, as a lamp unto our feet, helps us to make good decisions for the present. The Word of God as a light unto our path makes the future clear to us; it helps us to understand our future to walk into it with certainty. Go for the Word, and be transformed! Title : Bold as a Lion

"The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. Proverbs 28:1" Devotion : The scripture has given a comparison between the wicked and the righteous. Christians, who are the righteousness of God, are to be conscious of who Christ Jesus has made them. They are also to know who Christ Jesus has made the wicked. Jesus Christ has made the righteous as bold as the lion but the wicked to flee when no one is pursuing them. The Christian should never be afraid of the wicked in society because deep inside the wicked is a greater fear to flee from the righteous. Dear beloved, do you feel afraid sometimes? If you do, keep declaring, "I am as bold as the lion," and that fear will disappear. Title : Gods Delight

"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15" Devotion : Although the plan of God for man from the beginning is not for man to die, He is, however, delighted in another kind of death, that is, the death of His saints. He is delighted because when the saint vacates the body on Earth, he will be present with Him in heaven. This scripture should be a relief to those Christians who are afraid to die. Instead of the fear of death, which Christ Jesus delivered us from, they should work for the Lord with all zeal and diligence, knowing that when they sleep (die), they will be present with the Lord Jesus Christ in heaven. Dear beloved, are you afraid of death? Share the word. http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : In Everything

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6" Devotion : The opening scripture gives us a vital key every born again Christian must be conscious of: The key is prayer. Anxiety and worry do not solve any problem but rather make them worse. Prayer is the master key that solves every anxiety. The Apostle Paul used it, and he is encouraging every believer in Christ to use it as well. He used prayer in everything and came to the point of realizing that God would do nothing if he did not pray. For Christians who feel too lazy to pray, they must realize that God will do nothing for them if they don't pray. Prayer is seen by God as so important that if we do not pray, He  feels we don't need Him. Before we make a request from God in prayer, let us start with thanksgiving and appreciation of Him for what He's been doing for us. Let us also learn to intercede for our famili...

Title : Vital Use of the Mouth

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8" Devotion : The mouth is used to talk, eat, swallow, and drink; all of these are physical uses of the mouth. However, there is a vital use of the mouth that is of spiritual significance: The mouth is used for possession. Word talk and confessing scriptures leads to possession. The opening scripture has given us the secret behind the speech of human beings. Meditation is not just thinking deeply about the Word of God; meditation without utterance is not meditation at all. When we think deeply about the Word of God, we move from that level to memorizing and speaking under tone and lastly to the level of roaring the Word. God said this should be done day and night and should be backed by doing the Word; what fol...

Title : Waiting on God

"Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. Psalm 62:1" Devotion : Some trust in their money, others trust in their idols, some also trust their political power, and still others trust in their talents or gifts. Money, idols, political power, talents, or gifts can fail you, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Sometimes it is difficult to wait on the Lord; however, it is the only solution for lasting salvation. Waiting on the Lord means developing the character of looking up to God and His Word for direction. Sometimes you may have to leave the crowd and get alone with God in fellowship for specific direction. Only a personal relationship with the Lord will propel you to agree with the psalmist that the Lord is your salvation, rock, and defense. Dear beloved, how do you wait on God? Share the word. http://play.googl...

Title : Wrath and Doubt

"I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. Timothy 2:8" Devotion : The Apostle Paul exhorted Timothy, the presiding bishop, to admonish his members to pray everywhere. In other words, there is no geographical limitation to prayer. There were some Christians who were lazy about praying at home; there were also others who loved to excuse themselves from church prayer meetings. Timothy, as a young pastor, had to identify such groups to encourage them to pray. The Apostle Paul also pointed out to Timothy what was hindering their prayer: wrath and doubting. He instructed them to lift up holy hands, that is, to believe their sins have been forgiven and refrain from anger and doubt. Anger against one another and doubt in their hearts in the midst of their prayer were obstacles to getting good results. Christians today must learn to walk in the righteousness of Christ and be fervent in payer. They should also be forgiving to overco...

Title : Born Again

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9" Devotion : The scripture above explains how to be born again; in other words, it shows the procedure to become a child of God. The person who wants to be born again must believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that God raised him from the dead; in addition, he must confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord of his life. After believing and confessing the Lord Jesus Christ, the person becomes born again and receives eternal life, which saves him from eternal damnation. This is the good news that Jesus brought to mankind and committed this word of reconciliation to the church. Every born again Christian has the responsibility for sharing the good news so that many people can be saved. Dear beloved, are you involved with sharing this good news? http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible....

Title : Give Him Glory

"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Revelation 4:11" Devotion : The cherubim and seraphim praise God without ceasing. The 24 elders prostrate themselves and worship God, declaring His glory, honor, and power. All creatures in heaven praise God. It is therefore good that the children of God on Earth should also praise and worship God. The only creatures whose praise God abhors are the devil and his cohorts of darkness, the wicked, and hypocrites. As children of God, let us make praise and worship our lifestyle; let us learn new songs to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Finally, let us make God and our Lord Jesus Christ see our value on Earth. Dear beloved, are praise and worship your lifestyle? http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Spirit of fear

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7" Devotion : Fear comes from the devil whilst faith comes from God. The scripture is telling us not to entertain fear in our life. Any time fear wants to show up in you, declare "God has not given me the spirit of fear, I have power, love, and sound mind." As you do that the fear will disappear.  NB: to access this promise you must live in total obedience, without blemish because sin causes fear. So be sinless.  Fear creates doubt, anxiety, and panic if entertained. As a Christian, dwell on what you have: power, love, and a sound mind. Dear reader, do you believe you have a sound mind and power over fear? Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Ministering Angels

"They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Psalm 91:12" Devotion : Angels are ministering spirits sent by God to serve the heirs of salvation, Hebrews 1:14. Our Lord Jesus Christ enjoyed the ministration of angels whilst on earth, especially during and after His forty-day fasting in the wilderness. Even though we do not always see angels with our optical eyes they minister to us when we go to bed, in our dreams, during the day, etc. Let us be conscious of this fact and pray, commanding them to do their work, and they shall obey. Dear reader, do you believe that angels minister to you? Share your comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Showing Kindness

"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9" Devotion : Sometimes, it is human nature to feel tired but when it comes to showing kindness or doing good to one another, the Word of God says we should not be tired or weary. If we become tired of showing one another kindness, meanness will set in and we will begin to hate and backbite one another. This will break the fabric of our Christianity and friendship. Also, we will lose the reward God is preparing for us. Dear reader, do you feel weary in doing well? Share your testimonies here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Husbands have been commanded

"Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. Colossians 3:19" Devotion : The husband in a marriage certainly has a duty toward his wife and must love her. The Bible is aware that the wife has several weaknesses that will appear in the marriage; therefore, the husband should not be bitter. A husband who loves his wife will teach her, counsel her, share ideas with her, be patient with her, make time for her, listen to her, not cheat on her, etc. Marriage is not compulsory, so a man who cannot love his wife should not marry and put the wife at risk. Title : Crucified with Christ

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20" Devotion : The apostle Paul has the consciousness of being crucified with Christ. He came to the point of believing that it was Christ Jesus who was living in him and doing the work that he did. He came to the point of denying self. Jesus Christ said that if we do not deny self and follow Him, we cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven. The apostle Paul is a typical example of a person who denied himself, and took up the cross and followed Jesus. As Christians, we are to do the same: we must crucify all our selfish desires and carry the cross of Christ Jesus and live for Him. Dear reader, who do you live for? Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Enter His gates with thanksgiving

"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Psalm 100:4" Devotion : Thanksgiving is a key to open doors. No wonder the Word of God says in everything we should give thanks to God! Thanksgiving attracts God's attention; therefore, it is good to start your prayers with thanksgiving. It also gives you the opportunity to see what God has done for you. Furthermore, it gives you a cheerful heart. As children of God, we have been born into God's presence. As we give Him thanks and bless His name, we stir up His presence to action and He becomes ever ready to help us. Dear reader, do you have a sacrifice of thanksgiving for God? Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Submission

"Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Colossians 3:18" Devotion : The virtue of submission is a good moral attribute that all Christians must exhibit. In the area of marriage, the principle is clear for the couple; the wife must submit to her husband and the husband must love his wife. It is quite sad sometimes that these principles are relegated to the background, leading to misunderstandings in marriage. In order to maintain sanity in marriage, women desiring to marry should marry men to whom they can submit. Likewise, men should marry women they can love. Marriage is not compulsory; it is meant for those who want to live by the principles God has laid down for Christian marriage. Dear reader, do you desire to get married? Think carefully about these principles and do not be compelled to marry. Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : The Wisdom of God

"To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, Ephesians 3:10" Devotion : Praise be to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has endowed the church with His manifold wisdom! Through the wisdom of God, the principalities and powers in heavenly places are brought to light. The church is the custodian of the wisdom and power of God. The church as an ambassador of Christ is established on earth to govern the earth for God. As a Christian, be conscious of the wisdom and power of God you have, and use them to exercise your dominion on earth. In fact, exercise authority over your education, career, marriage, singleness, aspirations, etc. Share your comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Strength and Peace

"The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace. Psalm 29:11" Devotion : What a wonderful God we serve! He has assured His children that He will give them strength and bless them with peace. As a child of God, believe the promises of God and claim them to enjoy them. Perhaps you are weak in an area of your life and devoid of peace. After reading this scripture, you should no longer suffer weakness and likewise neither should you suffer turbulence. Claim the strength and peace God has promised and enjoy them. God bless you. Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : War around us

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Ephesians 6:12" Devotion : Sometimes we pick fights with brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, friends, and others whom we believe are the cause of our woes, forgetting that these people are being controlled by spirits that are not seen by optical eyes. These are the evil spirits the Bible calls principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness. In other words, the Bible exhorts us to devote our time and energy to offer targeted prayers against these evil spirits. When these evil spirits are defeated, the people and situations they control are delivered to submit to us. Dear reader, are you wrestling against flesh and blood or against evil spirits? Title : Armour of God

"Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11" Devotion : The wiles of the devil are all the enemy's tricks to deceive his victims. The armour is the resources given to Christians to destroy the wiles of the devil. The armour is meant to be put on always, since the devil and his minions work twenty-four hours a day. The armour includes the shield of faith, helmet of salvation, belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, boots for preaching the gospel, and the sword of the Spirit. Believers need to know these weapons and use them so they can remain in continual victory. Dear reader, do you know about this armour? Share your comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Light and Strength

"The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1" Devotion : This is a personal confession from the psalmist.  The LORD as light and salvation diffuses all manner of fear and darkness in our life. The LORD as strength of life gives the energy and essence of life. Do you need light, salvation, and strength? Consult God and His Word and you will agree with the psalmist and declare, "The Lord is my light and my salvation, the Lord is the strength of my life". Title : The Glory of God

"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18" Devotion : When Adam and Eve fell, everything on earth went into serious bondage and oppression. Sufferings of all kinds began to take hold of the human and animal races. The devil began to gain the upper hand until Jesus Christ came to destabilize and demobilize the devil. Now that you are born again, the devil and his minions will throw all manner of attack at you; these are the sufferings the Bible talks about. However, far-reaching glory awaits us in the end, after we have overcome all the sufferings. Dear reader, are you going through any suffering because you chose to become a Christian? Share your comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Time and Season

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1" Devotion : Time is a measurable period during which an action, process, or condition exists or continues. A season is a period of the year. These two definitions show that everything under heaven is influenced by time and season. In our personal life, we have time to eat, sleep, wake up, go to work, etc. We have a season to celebrate birthdays, grow into adolescence and adulthood, marry, etc. Our plans, activities, and life are tied to time and season; it is our duty to know the time and seasons of our life so we don't miss any of them. God bless you. Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : The Enemies Fall

"A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Psalm 91:7" Devotion : The child of God is protected on every side; our eyes will see the reward of the wicked. The reward is that the wicked will fall when they come to attack us: a thousand at our side and ten thousand at our right hand. The angels are at work to make sure the wicked do not come close to us. Dear reader, do not fear your enemies because the place has already been determined. Share your comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline
