Title : War around us

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Ephesians 6:12"
Devotion : Sometimes we pick fights with brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, friends, and others whom we believe are the cause of our woes, forgetting that these people are being controlled by spirits that are not seen by optical eyes. These are the evil spirits the Bible calls principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness. In other words, the Bible exhorts us to devote our time and energy to offer targeted prayers against these evil spirits. When these evil spirits are defeated, the people and situations they control are delivered to submit to us. Dear reader, are you wrestling against flesh and blood or against evil spirits? Psalms 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded. The moments of struggle, joy, triumph, and trials will all coalesce into a story complete. When that time comes, the soul, unburdened by the weight of the mortal frame, ascends beyond the veil of this world—taking flight toward eternal rest.   You are not bound to the temporal; your essence is celestial.
