Title: Temptation!
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
James 1:2-3 KJV
Devotion: Temptation means enticement, allurement or bait. The end result is to do evil meaning the father of temptation is devil. Temptation always come colourfully, fancifully and looks desirable so that to the tempted it will look good as if it was from God.
Test is the opposite of temptation because it always leads to promotion if you passed the test. It comes from God or authority and it is for our upliftment. It may be harsh or unpleasant but if we endure the end result is progress either in the physical or spiritual.
God does not tempt, this is why we must study the word of God and understand it, if Jesus did not understand the word when devil tempted Him after the 40 day and night fasting Christ would have succumbed to the enticement of devil Matt 4:1-10.
The same can happen to you and me, we can conceive the idea in our mind it will look beautiful but once we start to implement it, the devil will capitalize on it and the person will fall. Therefore before we do or act we must make sure the process passes the integrity test according to the bible.
Dear reader, do you have any concerns share it with us and let God direct you.
Hallelujah.
