Birthday Devotional: Numbering Our Days with Wisdom.

 “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” — Psalm 90:12

Reflection: A birthday is more than cake, candles, and celebration—it's a sacred checkpoint in the journey of life. Psalm 90:12 invites us to pause and reflect: “Teach us to number our days…” Not to count them with dread or anxiety, but with reverence and purpose.
  Each year added to our lives is a gift, not a guarantee. The psalmist reminds us that wisdom begins when we recognize the brevity of life and the beauty of each moment. Birthdays become opportunities to recalibrate our hearts—not just to celebrate how far we've come, but to consider where we're going.
  What does it mean to number our days?  
It means living intentionally. It means asking:  
- Am I growing in love, grace, and truth?  
- Am I investing in things that matter eternally?  
- Am I seeking God's wisdom in my choices, relationships, and dreams?
   A birthday prayer:  
“Lord, thank You for the gift of another year. Teach me to live wisely, to cherish each day, and to walk in Your purpose. May my heart be tuned to Your will, and may this new year of life be marked by deeper faith, greater love, and joyful obedience.”

So today, as you celebrate, 'Lanre, let Psalm 90:12 be your anthem. Let wisdom guide your steps, and let gratitude fill your heart. You’re not just growing older—you’re growing wiser, stronger, and more radiant in Christ.

Title: Wisdom from God.

Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV [5] Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths. Devotion:  If you’ve ever gone on a trip somewhere you’ve never been, you know how important it is to have a map. Maps help us navigate the unknown areas ahead. Similarly, God’s Word helps us navigate through the unknown seasons of life. It reveals God’s wisdom, which can be essential in guiding our lives.  The book of Proverbs is filled with wisdom and knowledge that helps people live according to God’s purposes for their life. It starts by acknowledging that everything begins with God.   Because God is the creator of life, He knows what direction our lives should go. Our role, according to Proverbs, is to seek Him and trust Him.
