Title : The Witness of the Holy Spirit
"And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Matthew 3:17"
Devotion : While Jesus Christ walked this earth, He was baptized by John the Baptist. After the baptism, He obtained a witness from the Holy Spirit, and John the Baptist also heard this voice of witness. In the same way, we also need this witness from the Holy Spirit that we are the children of God. If you are a Christian and you don't have this personal witness from the Holy Spirit, then you need to find out what is wrong (Romans 8:16). You are either just professing that you are a Christian but deep inside you are not or you are a babe in Christ. Every true Christian should be sure of his or her salvation through the witness of the Holy Spirit; otherwise, he or she will be living in vain.
