Title: The 11th Hour.

Scripture focus: And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. Matthew 20:6-7  KJV.
(Read Matthew 20: 1 - 16)

Reflection: In the parable of the laborers in the vineyard, Jesus tells of a landowner who hired workers throughout the day. Some began early in the morning. Others came at the third hour, the sixth, and the ninth. Then, almost at the end of the day, he found still more standing idle.
“About the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing. And he said to them, ‘Why do you stand here idle all day?’ They said to him, ‘Because no one has hired us.’ He said to them, ‘You go into the vineyard too.’” (Matthew 20:6–7, ESV)
When evening came, every worker received the same wage—the full day’s pay. Those who had labored only one hour received the same as those who had borne the heat of the entire day. The early workers grumbled, but the landowner replied, “Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or do you begrudge my generosity?” (Matthew 20:15)
The eleventh hour is not a moment of failure. It is a moment of unexpected grace.
God is still calling people—late in the day, late in the season, late in life. He is still inviting the overlooked, the delayed, the ones who feel they have wasted too much time. His generosity is not measured by how long we have worked, but by the kindness of His heart.
If you feel you have arrived late, or that the best hours have already passed, hear the landowner’s words again: “You go into the vineyard too.” There is still work. There is still reward. There is still a place for you.
The same grace that called the eleventh-hour workers is still reaching for us today. Come as you are. Do not wait till the 12th hour, it shall be too late then (2 Cor 6:2). Jesus is at the door knocking (Revelation 3:20) and inviting you to come ( Matt 11:28) though it may be the 11th hour of your life. The vineyard is open, and the Master is generous. May you be saved in Jesus' name, Amen.
