Title : Grace is a Gift

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8" Devotion : Grace is the unmerited favor of God: it is a special ability given to the born again Christian to get things easily from God and to get things easily done. Grace cannot be purchased or borrowed; it is a gift of God. It is a gift that the Lord Jesus Christ gave to all men, especially those who believe in Him (John 1:17). Grace was given to all men to give mankind the opportunity to be saved; that is why the Law of Moses has been abolished. The Law of Moses would have put many people to death if grace had not been given to mankind. The law gave instant justice to sin without room for repentance, but grace gives mankind the room to repent and be saved. After being saved you can ask for more grace to accomplish a particular task, but without the saving grace God will not listen to your prayer because you are not His child. Dear beloved, are you saved? If you are ...

Title : Preordained Destiny

"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Jeremiah 1:5" Devotion : Jeremiah was called by God at a young age and he tried to give excuses to God but God would not buy them and had to encourage him with the opening Scripture. God has planned the destinies of His children and would want His children to know about their personal destiny and walk in it (Ephesians 1:5-6). Our responsibility is to find our destiny through fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit and the Holy Scriptures; after we have found it, let us not hesitate to fulfill it. No two destinies are the same; therefore, Christians should desist from comparing their destiny with others. What God would want you to do is to appreciate your destiny, give Him the glory, and ask Him to help you live it. Hallelujah! Dear beloved, do you know your destiny? Are you living it? Title : Walk with Like Minds

"And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Thessalonians 3:14" Devotion : God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ are mindful of those we associate with. Our Lord Jesus Christ was always in company with the disciples except on a few occasions when He had to go out of the way to win a soul. He knows that evil company or evil association corrupts good character (1 Corinthians 15:13). Jesus Christ wants us to live and walk in His Word, and associate with likeminded people who live and walk in His Word. It is then we can sharpen one another and learn from one another so that we can shine as true lights of the world. If Christians dissociate from their fellow Christians who are not walking in the Scriptures, they shall be ashamed and turn from their crooked ways. Let us be quick to identify brethren who are taking the gospel for granted so that we can help them to stand in the faith. Dear beloved, what d...

Title : The Right Direction

"In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:6" Devotion : In this world everybody is going somewhere but not everyone knows where they are going; everybody is going somewhere but not everyone will reach their destination; everybody is going somewhere but not everyone is on the right path. These are the reasons why the opening Scripture said we should not see anything too small to talk to God about. He wants to know everything so that He can direct us. He alone knows the right way because there is a way that seems right unto man but the end thereof is the way of death (Proverbs 14:12). Let Him know what you have purpose to do so that He can lead you on the path of success and peace. Praise the Lord! Dear beloved, what did you learn from this gospel? Title : My Good

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28" Devotion : The focus of God is that all things work together for the good of His children. Among the children of God are those who love Him; this is seen in their obedience and submission to God. All the children of God are called according to His purpose but there are those who are carrying out His purpose and there are those who are not. Those who are carrying out the purpose of God are those who love Him. Those who love God will have all things working together for their good. All things include the trees, sun, sea, ground, birds, temptation, suffering, riches, health, career, angels, etc. Therefore, if you are a Christian and you know you love God, whatever you are going through don't complain because they are working together for your good. Title : Double Honour

Compliments of the season.  Are you a LEADER, yes you're in the home, office, business place, market and church of God.  The question is how do you do the work, how do you lead the people? To get DOUBLE HONOUR read below and see if you have been leading WELL May God help us. Merry Christmas 🎄 . "Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. Timothy 5:17" Devotion : Leaders in Christ Jesus who come across the opening Scripture should be glad indeed. This should motivate them to do the work which the Lord has called them into with love and zeal, because in the end our Lord Jesus Christ will reward them exceedingly. There is a condition to the reward; it says those who rule well are worthy of double honor. Also those who labor in the Word of God and doctrine or teachings of Christ deserve double honor. Leaders in Christ Jesus must therefore aim at doing their work efficiently and effectively, and those...

Title : The Master Key

"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; John 14:16" Devotion : Prayer is so important for the children of God that it cannot be over emphasized. In the opening Scripture, Jesus Christ said He will pray the Father, and He shall give the disciples another Comforter. To pray the Father simply means to pray what God has already promised to give us. If the Son of God prayed to get things done on Earth, it simply means that without prayer nothing gets done on Earth. This is how vital and essential prayer is to the children of God. True to His Word, after He prayed, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, was released to abide with the saints forever (Acts 2:2-3). Hallelujah! The Holy Spirit has come to comfort, lead, guide, teach, remind, and help us to live the victorious life God has designed for us. Dear beloved, are you cooperating with the Comforter? Title : God is a Giver

"He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Isaiah 40:29" Devotion : God has proven beyond reasonable doubt that He is a giver. He gives power to the faint or weak and increases strength for the one who lacks might. He is always in the business of seeking whom He might bless. In the New Testament He sent Jesus to give us grace (John 1:17): grace to give us favor and strength to accomplish His purpose on earth. He also gave us the Holy Spirit to teach and direct us. In like manner He is counting on us to help the weak among us and also give to the needy in the church and our society. God is a giver and wants His children to be givers. Hallelujah! Dear beloved are you a giver? Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : God is Timeless

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1" Devotion : God lives in eternity: He created the heaven and the Earth before time began. He created time on Earth but does not live in time; He is timeless. Science has proved that the earth is millions of years old. They could be right because the Earth was created before time was created. Genesis chapter 1 illustrated how God created light, day, night, sun, and the moon to be the elements of time. If Elohim created heaven and Earth and everything therein, then what can't He create for His children? We are indeed serving a living God. As a child of God, don't be limited by time - you have a Father who can change time to suit you. Praise the Lord! Dear beloved what did you learn from this gospel? Title : Jesus Christ believes in You

"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:16" Devotion : If you are a Christian and you are looking down on yourself, remember the words of Jesus Christ in our opening Scripture and encourage yourself. Jesus said, "You did not choose me but I have chosen you"; these words of Jesus Christ demonstrate that He believes in every Christian He has called. He has also ordained every Christian to bear fruit for Him. He knows you can do it, therefore, believe in Jesus Christ and be confident in yourself that you can do what Jesus has ordained you for. You can win souls for Him, and you can make the souls remain in Him through your prayers and words of exhortation, and constant visitation. When your souls remain in Christ, all the things you pray for will be granted by our Lord Jesus Christ. Halle...

Title : Beware of false doctrines

"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Colossians 2:8" Devotion : One of the disciples asked Jesus Christ what will be the signs of the end time. Jesus told them the first sign is deception (Matthew 24:4). The devil and his cohorts of darkness have been completely disarmed by Jesus Christ; the weapon they have now is deception: how to deceive mankind to reject the gospel and the saving power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They keep developing strange doctrines to confuse the masses. Some of the doctrines are "Jesus Christ is not God, He is just like one of the Old Testament prophets, He did not really die on the cross, there is no hell, there is reincarnation, etc." These are all strange doctrines to mar the truth. Christians must therefore be on the alert to identify and reject these strange doctrines and philosophies. They should not even entertain...

Title : Imitate Christ Jesus

"And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Matthew 9:35" Devotion : Jesus Christ has left a legacy for us to follow. If you are a disciple of Jesus Christ you must do what Jesus did. Jesus Christ traveled from cities to villages, teaching the Word of God, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing sickness and every disease among the people. Jesus Christ made sure that the people who came to His crusade never left in the same manner in which they came; they went home fulfilled. We are to continue where Jesus Christ left off. Our primary job as Christians is to move from cities to villages, teaching the Word of God, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, and healing the sick. If we continue in the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ, the world will be a better place. Jesus Christ made life better for others and we must do the same. Ha...

Title : Pursue the Wisdom of God

"Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 1 Corinthians 1:20" Devotion : Apostle Paul in his preaching of the gospel of Christ Jesus came to understand that there existed two kinds of wisdom: the wisdom of God and the wisdom of the world. The wisdom of the world has been made foolish; hence, the wise in worldly things, the scribe or learned, and the disputer of this world have worldly wisdom regarded as foolish in comparison to the wisdom of God. In essence God has severely limited the knowledge of the world and made it foolish; no wonder the world cannot understand spiritual truth. The gospel is the wisdom of God and believers in Christ Jesus must focus on the gospel of Christ and make it their primary objective. All other knowledge and wisdom cannot be compared to it. Let us pursue the wisdom of God as Christians and shine in this world and the world will follow. Dear beloved, what did y...

Title : The Spoken Word

"The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. Matthew 8:8" Devotion : The centurion wanted help from Jesus Christ. Apparently he had heard of Jesus Christ and knew He had the solution he was looking for but had never set his eyes on Jesus. When he set his eyes on Jesus Christ, he realized he had come into contact with the Holy Son of God and so felt unworthy. He said to Jesus, "Just speak your Word and my servant will be healed." Jesus Christ marveled and said that He had never seen such a great faith in Israel. Jesus spoke the Word and the centurion's servant was healed instantly. Jesus Christ illustrated here faith and the spoken Word; if we have faith and speak the Word of God to every situation that needs a change, there will surely be a change. Dear beloved, do you need a change in any area of your life? What do you think you must do? Share your though...

Title : Act of Commendation

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8" Devotion : When mankind sinned against God, they were afraid to approach God. God did not wait for mankind to approach Him; He sent Jesus Christ to die to atone for their sin so that mankind would approach God without fear or any sense of guilt. What God did is an act of true love which deserves to be commended. Any time we lift up praise and worship to God for His love toward us, we are commending Him for His mercies and love. He has also taught us not to be revengeful but to be forgiving toward one another. Dear beloved, are you revengeful or forgiving toward others? Title : Glory in Tribulation

"And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; Romans 5:3" Devotion : Apostle Paul in his walk with Christ Jesus went through several tribulations. He saw God's hand in the tribulations to teach him some spiritual truth. He learned of the spiritual truth and is in the best position to enlighten us about what he had learned. He learned that tribulation or challenges yield patience, and patience produces experience, and experience generates hope. Hence, Apostle Paul is of the view that we should not totally condemn tribulation or challenges but rather be on the alert to learn patience, experience, and hope. In the end, the Holy Spirit comes to our aid to end the tribulation, fulfilling our hope because He loves us and His love is at work in our heart. Dear beloved, are you going through any challenge or tribulation? What should be your disposition? Share your thoughts and comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...

Title : Watch and Pray

"Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. Mark 14:38" Devotion : Before Jesus Christ went to the cross He went with the disciples to pray in the garden of Gethsemane. He took with Him Peter, James, and John to assist Him to pray whilst He went farther. He came back on three occasions to find them sleeping. He told them to watch and pray lest they enter into temptation. The same goes for us who are born again in Christ Jesus. The only way to prevent or overcome temptation is to watch and pray. Jesus was able to overcome the temptation of the devil because He watched and prayed (Matthew 4:1-11). There is now no excuse because the Holy Spirit has been given to us to help us pray; He is also ever ready to help us to fully take control over the flesh. Let us therefore cooperate with the Holy Spirit so that He can teach us how to watch, pray, rule over the flesh, and overcome all kinds of temptations. Dear beloved, are goin...

Title : A Sure Guide

"And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21" Devotion : There is a sure guide for the believer in Christ Jesus; he has no excuse to say that he did not know the way or how to go about it. The Holy Spirit is his sure guide to show him the way and how to go about doing what he ought to do. Jesus Christ said when the Holy Spirit comes, He shall guide the believer into all truth (John 16:13). The Holy Spirit is a person and He wants His children to develop a personal relationship with Him. Christians should therefore learn to develop a very personal relationship with Him; they should know Him, His voice, and have time for Him because He lives in them and He is ever ready to lead them. If you allow Him to lead you, you will become a success and a wonder in your world. Dear beloved, how well do you know the Holy Spirit? Share your thoughts and comments here! http://...

Title : The Reward of the Wicked

"Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Psalms 91:8" Devotion : The children of God who read this Scripture should be consoled over the acts of the wicked: surely there is a reward of the wicked. What is this reward of the wicked? The reward of the wicked is not something that is pleasant at all; it is described as the chaff which the wind drives away (Psalms 1:4). The following happens to the wicked: God is angry at them every day; the wicked will be destroyed; evil shall slay the wicked; they are even estranged from the womb (Psalms 58:3); they flee when no man is pursuing them; the wicked will finally be turned into hell (Psalms 9:17). As you can see, there is no peace for the wicked. Any wicked person reading this article should quickly turn from their wickedness and receive Christ Jesus as Lord and personal Savior. If they do this they will be forgiven and they will become the children of God. Hallelujah! Share your thoughts here! http:/...

Title : Ignore what others say

"For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after. Jeremiah 30:17" Devotion : As a child of God you don't live by what you see or what you hear from others. You live by the Word of God in faith (Romans 1:17). The opening Scripture describes two realms: divine realm and temporal realm. No matter what people are saying against you, try to ignore them. They may say you are an outcast, unwanted, rejected, loser, etc., but don't let it have an effect on you. Choose to live in the promises in the Holy Scriptures. The LORD who is mightier than their profane words says He will restore health to you, and He will heal you of your wounds. Hallelujah! The wounds represent your sufferings, challenges, disappointments, pains, failures, debts, unemployment, and embarrassments. He is ready to give strength to your body and heal all those wounds, amen. Dear belo...

Title : Peacemakers

"Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9" Devotion : When a person becomes born again, Jesus Christ gives the person the ability to be a peacemaker. It is one thing to have the ability to make peace and another to make use of that ability to get the job done. The peacemaker makes peace between God and the unbeliever in Jesus Christ and His gospel. The one who is not born again has no peace with God, therefore, it is the responsibility of the Christian to bring such a person to Christ to reconcile him to the Father. If we do this then we can be called peacemakers hence, the true children of God. Furthermore, the children of God must ensure that there is peace amongst men and wherever they find themselves. Dear beloved, are you are a peacemaker? Share your testimonies here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : The Fear of God

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7" Devotion : The fear of the LORD is the foundation of knowledge. What is this fear of the LORD? The fear of God is to hate evil: pride and arrogance, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth (Proverbs 8:13). Hence, anyone who fears God is humble and gentle, walks in the way of righteousness, and speaks to edify others. When humility, gentleness, righteousness, and seasoned words are part and parcel of your life, the Holy Spirit will give you wisdom and long life to work for Him. He also adds riches, wealth, good health and fame. Hallelujah! Choose to fear God today and be a partaker of these divine blessings. Dear beloved, what did you learn from this gospel? Title : You can be on the Fence

"For he that is not against us is on our part. Mark 9:40" Devotion : In Christ Jesus, your position for Jesus Christ must be clear and emphatic. It is either you are for Christ or you are against Him; there is no middle ground. If you claim you are born again, then give yourself wholly to Jesus Christ and His gospel. Let whatever Jesus stands for be what you stand for; let whatever Jesus likes and loves be what you like and love; let whatever Jesus hates be what you hate (Ephesians 5:1-2). If you claim you love Jesus Christ and stand for Him, yet you don't do what He loves, you are a liar, you are against Him. Dear beloved, does your conduct differ from that of Christ? If your answer is no, then you are for Christ; if it is yes, then you are against Christ. By their fruit you will know them (Matthew 7:20). Title : SelfSufficiency

"And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; Thessalonians 4:11" Devotion : The will of God for His children is to be self-sufficient. It is something that does not come by chance but by careful study of the Word of God and the practice thereof. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ does not want His children to be continually dependent on others. His wish is that His children enlighten themselves, do their own business, and work with their own hands; He also wants them to live truthfully toward others, and lack nothing. This will be a good light to those who are in the world so that they don't take Christianity for granted. God does not like it when people in the world make comments such as Christians are lazy or Christians are unemployed. Let us live up to expectation and shine as the true light of the world. Praise the Lord! Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybi...

Title : Learn from our Father

"He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. Psalms 103:9" Devotion : Jehovah has a character He wants us to emulate and let it become our lifestyle. The opening Scripture says God will not always reprove or rebuke us, nor will He keep His anger forever. How nice for our Father to behave toward His children! He becomes angry when we disobey Him but He does not reject us; He rebukes us in love and patiently waits for us to learn to do the right thing. In like manner He tells us to be angry but sin not; we should not allow our anger to linger in our heart to propel us to do wrong. In other words, we should quickly turn away from our anger (Ephesians 4:26-27). If you are quick tempered, it is time to work on it and become like our heavenly Father. If you are a parent, don't rebuke your children in anger but reprove them in love and patiently wait for them to learn to do right. Hallelujah! Title : The Blood of Christ and Testimony

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:11" Devotion : The blood of Jesus Christ is a very effective weapon against the devil and his cohorts of darkness. Even in heaven Archangel Michael and his angels used the blood of Jesus to overcome the devil and his cohorts of darkness. Any time we use the blood they are powerless before us; as a Christian never stop using the blood of Jesus. Another weapon at our disposal is the word of our testimony; testimonies are not meant to be quiet over. Our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ want to hear our testimonies; when they do anything for us, be it small or very great, we must not be quiet over it and take it for granted. The more we testify the more Jesus Christ keeps doing more miracles for us so that we can glorify Him. Our testimonies also expose the works of the enemy and make them feel ashamed and powerless. Hallelujah! Share y...

Title : Keys to Breakthrough

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6" Devotion : Prayer is so essential that it cannot be over emphasized. Sometimes you hear people say this thing is not about prayer or that situation does not need prayer, but they are not right in saying that. Apostle Paul in his walk with the Lord Jesus Christ came to believe that everything is about prayer; there is nothing too small or too big to pray about. In the opening Scripture he says in everything by prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving make your request to God. Hence, he has given us the three keys to our breakthrough: prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving. He said if you try these keys every time you pray, your request will definitely be granted. Dear beloved, have you tried these keys in your prayer? What was the result? Share your thoughts and comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybibl...

Title : Go for His Knowledge

"Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. Philippians 3:6" Devotion : There are basically two kinds of knowledge: divine knowledge and temporal knowledge. Divine knowledge is the knowledge of Christ Jesus and this knowledge is above temporal knowledge and any other knowledge there is. This kind of knowledge was what Apostle Paul tasted, and he came to the conclusion that it is incomparable to the other kind of knowledge he had acquired. He counted all the knowledge and wealth he had acquired in the world as dung. Our Lord Jesus Christ will say what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul (Mark 8:36)? Dear beloved, let us go for the knowledge of Christ; the wealth, riches, status, degrees, fame, etc. cannot be compared to it. To what extent do you know Jesus Christ? Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Refuse to Lose

"How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? Matthew 18:12" Devotion : Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ once again has shown that He is the way, and truth, and the life (John 14:6). He has illustrated in the opening Scripture that every child of His must refuse to entertain loss in every endeavor. What have you lost in life? No matter what you have lost in life, our Lord Jesus Christ says you can find it if you make the effort. In fact, He is ready to give you the grace to look for your lost asset. In respect to soul winning, the souls who are lost can be found if the church and individuals make the effort to win them. The only souls who cannot be won are the devil's children (John 8:44). Dear beloved, what did you learn from this gospel? Share your comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv....

Title : God is Wiser

"Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Matthew 7:9" Devotion : The LORD God Almighty is wiser in answering our prayer request than what man can possibly do. God is not insensitive to our request to give us what we have not asked for; He will possibly not give us what we ask for if what we are asking will destroy us because He loves us so much and cannot afford losing us. If you are a child of God and it seems you are not receiving what you have prayed for, try to reexamine your request. Find out if the Holy Scriptures support your request; if the Word of God supports it then wait patiently for it in faith. As children of God, we should be students of the Holy Scripture so that we do not pray amiss (James 4:3). Dear beloved, does it seem your requests are not answered? What do you plan to do? Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Where is the devil

"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19" Devotion : The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross and went to hell for our sake. In hell He defeated the devil and his cohort of darkness, and took away from them the key of death and hell (Revelation 1:18). Afterwards He limited the devil and his cohort of darkness under our feet. Jesus Christ stated in the opening Scripture that He has given us power to continually tread or trample the devil, demons, and the like under our feet and nothing will hurt us. If anybody asks you where the devil and his demons are, be quick to tell them that they are under your feet. The devil and his demons only have power to deceive and invent lies. Never be afraid of the devil and his demons, and their tricks to create fear and doubt in you. Keep trampling upon them. Hallelujah! Share your comments and testimonies here! http://play.google....

Title : Confidence in God

"For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not. Isaiah 30:15" Devotion : Jesus Christ made it easy for mankind to be saved: the Israelites and other nations or Gentiles can now be saved by one Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ used His blood to atone for the sin of the world; therefore, in repentance and rest all who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Acts 2:21). After you are saved, be still or quiet and have confidence or trust in the Lord Jesus Christ in every situation; our trust in Him makes more grace available to us to overcome every opposing situation. Hallelujah! What God hates is murmuring and complaining; instead He wants us to be quiet and look up to Him in faith and He will do it. Praise the Lord! Dear beloved, have you stopped murmuring and complaining? Trust Jesus - He knows what He is doing; He shall surely come to your aid! Share your com...

Title : Spiritual Fruit

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Galatians 5:22" Devotion : Elohim created living things to produce fruit to glorify Him and also be of benefit to other creations of His. The reason for Jesus Christ cursing the fig tree is because the fig tree did not glorify Him by producing fruits to meet His need. In like manner, when the Holy Spirit comes into the heart of the born again Christian, He expects him to bear the fruit of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, to glorify Him and be of benefit to humanity. When people have tasted the fruit of the Holy Spirit borne by the child of God, they give glory and testimony to the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. The child of God who bears this fruit is promoted and given grace to move from glory to glory. Hallelujah! Dear beloved, are you bearing the fruit of the Spirit? Share your testimonies here! http://play.google.com/store/app...

Title : God's Glory

"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31" Devotion : The glory of God is the beauty, majesty, splendor, and brightness of God. Fueling the glory of God are the praise, worship, thanksgiving, and admiration given unto Him. He uses the praise, worship, thanksgiving, and admiration to sustain and beautify His creation. Our main focus in life is to glory God, hence, our thoughts and actions should be geared towards glorifying God. As believers in Christ Jesus, what we eat, drink, put on our body, or whatsoever we do, we should do to the praise of the name of Christ Jesus and our Father in heaven. When we do that we will earn the respect and accolade of our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ; and they will be closer to you and make their home with you (John 14:23). Title : Obedience Profits

"Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. Hebrews 13:17" Devotion : It pays when disciples, members, citizens and subordinates obey their leaders. It is even vital in the church for members to obey and submit to the leaders placed over them. Jesus Christ, the bishop, has appointed shepherds, pastors or leaders to carry out His work on earth. They will give account to every soul entrusted under their care; therefore, in as much as they have a responsibility, the members also have a responsibility to support them. Their support is in their obedience and submission so that the shepherds can do their work with joy. When they work with joy, blessings flow to the members. On the other hand, when they don't get the support because of disobedience and insubordination, they are grieved; and instead of blessing flowi...

Title : The Mercies of God

"It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. Lamentations 3:22" Devotion : Mercy is a blessing that is an act of divine favor or compassion. Truly indeed it is the mercies of God that we are not consumed. God's mercies endure forever (Psalms 136:1). The mercies of God sent Jesus Christ, who knew no sin, to die for the sin of mankind. Because of the mercies of God the murderer, thief, prostitute, drunkard, liar, etc. can be saved by Jesus Christ. Dear beloved, wherever you are, whatever you have done, the mercies of God can extend to you, for His compassion fails not. Take advantage of God's mercies and be blessed. The mercies of God can pick you from poverty and place you among kings (2 Samuel 9:1-13). Jesus Christ was a man of compassion (Matthew 9:36). Hallelujah! Title : Blameless and Harmless

"Do all things without murmurings and disputings: Philippians 2:14" Devotion : The Christian can be blameless and harmless as the light of the world. The way to become blameless and harmless is to do away with murmurings and disputing. Murmuring and disputing are signs of lack of faith and trust in the God we serve. Complaining does not get anything done. Instead of murmuring, disputing, and complaining, we should worship and praise God, and make melodies in our heart; afterwards ask God for His way and go ahead to do what He has destined for us to do. We are the lights in our world so we have to show the world the way to go; the way to go is to shine goodness, hope and inspire confidence in people to trust our Lord Jesus Christ. Dear beloved, do you murmur, dispute, and complain? What would you do to overcome them? Title : Believing Leads to Possibilities

"Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23" Devotion : Heaven has endorsed whatever the children of God will believe. No wonder our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said all things are possible to those who believe. The personal question we need to ask ourselves is "Do I believe?" If I do then it is possible for me to receive whatever I have prayed for. Any time we pray and sense doubt and unbelief, we should rebuke it and openly declare, "I believe I have received what I have prayed for." The doubt or unbelief will vanish. Also we should try to dissociate from people, words, and anything that brings doubt and unbelief to us. Dear beloved, what are you believing God for? What are you trying to achieve? If you believe it is possible you will have it. Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : The Carnal Mind or The Spiritual Mind

"For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:6" Devotion : Life is about making choices, even refusing to make a choice is a choice in itself. Believers in Christ Jesus must make a choice to either be carnally minded or spiritually minded. To be carnally minded is to walk in the natural mindset: thinking of temporal things, talking by feeling, acting according to feeling, and living according to the human senses; these can only lead to suffering, doubt, unbelief, and finally death. To be spiritually minded is to walk in the supernatural mindset: thinking of eternal things, talking by faith, acting in line with the Holy Scriptures, and living by the Holy Spirit; these lead to peace, greater faith, believing, wealth, and life, praise the Lord! Title : Leader or Follower

"He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. Psalms 103:7" Devotion : Yahweh is really a divine strategist: He treats every child of His the same. When His leaders know His ways they are then able to explain to the followers the acts of God. The Israelites were fond of enjoying the acts of God: they enjoyed manna from heaven, quails from God, and crossed the Red Sea and River Jordan. Moses on the other hand was made to know the ways of God: he was shown the route to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, asked to strike the rock to get water for the children of Israel, raise the rod to divide the Red Sea and allowed to see the back of God. Title : True Leadership

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1" Devotion : Apostle Paul is a true leader: he will go as far as begging or pleading with his converts to get them to do what God wants. The opening scripture shows that Christians who present their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, will be in a position to renew their mind with the Holy Scriptures; after renewing their mind, their mind will then be sound to prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. On the other hand, Christians who do not present their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, will conform to the dictate of the world; they will also not be able to renew their mind with the Holy Scriptures so they cannot prove the will of God. Dear beloved, have you presented your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God? ...

Title : A Man of Wisdom

"Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. Proverbs 8:14" Devotion : Counsel, sound wisdom, understanding, and strength are all qualities of the wisdom of God. In other words, a man who has received the wisdom of God will function in giving good counsel, operate in sound wisdom, understand deeper revelations, and shall operate in divine health. These benefits of wisdom should inspire Christians to pursue the wisdom of God. Dear beloved, do you operate in the wisdom of God? Title : Go to Him Boldly

"Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD. Psalms 31:24" Devotion : The Almighty God cannot tell us to exhibit any virtue which is not already in our spirit. Boldness is a virtue that the Holy Spirit has deposited inside the spirit of the believer in Christ Jesus (Acts 1:8). Hope is to expect with confidence. In other words, if you have confidence in God, expecting Him to do something for you, be bold and go to Him in prayer and your heart will be strengthened to receive from Him (Hebrews 4:16). Dear beloved, don't be afraid to pray to God even if you have sinned. He said come to Him boldly and you shall receive grace. Even confess your sins boldly in a repented disposition and He will forgive you. Hallelujah! Title : The Doctrine of Christ

"Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. John 1:9" Devotion : Anyone who cultivates the habit of disobedience to God's Word, and does not dwell in the teachings of Christ, doesn't have God. Living a life of disobedience to the Holy Scriptures and the teachings of Christ Jesus is the character of the devil and his cohort of darkness; therefore, any person who has such a character cannot belong to God and our Lord Jesus Christ. The teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ consist of the Father, the Son of God, salvation, healing, faith, patience, work, life, death, righteousness, etc. These teachings are found in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. All who dwell in or abide in these doctrines of Christ have received the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Dear beloved, what shows that you have God and the Lord Jesus Christ? Title : Be Ready

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Peter 3:10" Devotion : The Apostle Peter by the revelation of God spoke about the passing away of the present heaven and Earth. Our Lord Jesus Christ also touched on this subject when He said heaven and Earth shall pass away but His words shall not pass away (Matthew 24:35). The reason for their passing away is the sin of the devil in heaven and the sin of mankind on Earth. These sins corrupted heaven and Earth, therefore God has made provision for a new heaven and a new Earth (Revelation 21:1). Dear beloved, are you ready for the new heaven and the new Earth? Get ready to enjoy these by being faithful with Lord Jesus Christ and with whatever He has committed to your trust. Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kj...

Title : Overcoming Poverty

"In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. Proverbs 14:23" Devotion : The opening scripture is vivid and illustrates how to overcome lack and poverty. Working produces profit or gain to the worker or laborer. Doing the appropriate kind of work tends to riches and wealth. Empty talk and idleness lead to poverty and want. Dear beloved, don't associate yourself with people who just gossip and spend all their time indulging in idle chatting. It can only lead to poverty and lack. Dear beloved, do you have a job you are doing to make a living and have the ability to give in the house of God? Title : Gods Priority

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Matthew 28:19" Devotion : Our Lord Jesus Christ prioritized teaching over the fivefold ministry in Ephesians 4:11. When Jesus Christ trained His disciples He did not train them to be prophets even though prophets are also good, but He trained them to be teachers of His Word. This should inform us that teachers are more important and elevated above the other four offices - that is, the office of the apostles, prophets, evangelists and pastors. It takes teaching of the Holy Scriptures to create understanding in new converts and even existing members of the body of Christ. Teaching informs, guides, directs, counsels, comforts, multiplies, and retains the membership of the church. Let the world learn from the church and elevate teachers in society into their rightly place. Dear beloved, can you teach the Word of God? Share your thoughts here! http://play.googl...

Title : Deceit or Joy

"Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy. Proverbs 12:20" Devotion : There are two categories of people on earth: those who imagine evil and those who imagine good. Which of these do you identify with or belong to? A heart that imagines evil only has plans to deceive to have its way; it cannot offer anything good. When such people find their way in a high position, especially in government, what is predominant is corruption and embezzlement of funds. However, there is hope because there are counselors of peace who produce joy in the lives of people. They are those who imagine good in their heart; when they are in a place of authority, they create an atmosphere of peace, joy and prosperity for all. Dear beloved, which of these two categories of people do you belong to or identify with? Title : Help the Oppressed

"The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. Psalms 103:6" Devotion : God Has positioned the saints at every point in time to assist the oppressed in society. The Lord Jesus Christ in His ministry on earth concentrated on the oppressed in society (Acts 10:38). Likewise, Christians are encouraged to minister to the poor, the needy, and the oppressed. This is because the poor, needy, and oppressed are marginalized in society; they don't have a voice that speaks for them. It is only God, according to the opening scripture, who executes righteousness and judgment for all the oppressed. Christians are the children of God through whom God will execute His righteousness and judgment on earth. Dear beloved, have you availed yourself for God to use to execute His righteousness and judgment? Share your comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Never be Ashamed of the Gospel

"Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. Mark 8:38" Devotion : Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was not ashamed to die naked on the cross for you and me. Hence, we should also not be ashamed to preach or witness for Him. If we are ashamed of Him and His gospel, we may go free while on Earth, but we shall not escape the eternal consequences of our actions: He shall also be ashamed of us and even reject us because we will not be a people worth dying for. Dear friend, when you come between making a stand for Jesus Christ and being mocked, persecuted, and even killed, always choose Christ Jesus. He said whoever loses his life for His sake will find it in life eternal (Matthew 10:39). It is time to say yes to Jesus and the gospel without looking back. Title : Time to Weep

"Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. Psalms 119:18" Devotion : The Psalmist had his moments of grief just like anybody else. In such a time the soul weeps or melts to bring relief to the body. Any person who tries to contain or restrain himself from weeping becomes depressed. In times of grief it is good to weep to relieve yourself so that you can be comforted (Matthew 5:4). Lasting comfort comes from the Holy Scriptures; no wonder the Psalmist said, "Strengthen thou me according unto thy word." When you experience your heavy moments, weep and after you have wept, call on the Word to give you strength. Our Lord Jesus Christ also wept in front of Lazarus' tomb when all the people, including Mary and Martha, were wailing and weeping (John 11:35). Dear beloved, there is a time to weep - have you experienced your weeping moment? Share your comments and testimonies here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bib...

Title : Acceptable Words and Meditation

"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalms 19:14" Devotion : The opening scripture is a prayer request from a Psalmist who sought to please his Maker both within and without. In other words, he wanted his speeches and deep thoughts to be blameless. A sign of maturity in Christ Jesus is our ability to think carefully about what we want to say before we say it. The prayer of the Psalmist should also be our prayer so that the Holy Spirit guards our heart and guides our tongue. This is very vital because evil thoughts or desires corrupt the heart, which leads to evil utterances or actions. Likewise good thoughts or good desires elate the heart and lead to good utterances or actions. Meditating on the Word of God produces good thoughts, leading to good utterances and actions. Dear beloved, what did you learn from the gospel article above? Share your comments here! http://play.google.com/store...

Title : Gods Principle about Work

"For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. Thessalonians 3:10" Devotion : God Almighty created work for mankind right from the beginning, in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:15). The Apostle Paul was emphasizing God's principle about work to the church in Thessalonica. Apparently some believers in the church became busybodies: running from house to house and engaging in all manner of fruitless indulgence; some were idle and were fed even though they had the ability to work for themselves. Christians are commanded to work so that they have the financial ability to support the gospel and the needy in the church and society. Never depend on the government for work, rather depend on God to give the right work to do. Dear beloved, do you work? Why are you working? Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Where are Your Treasures

"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: Matthew 6:19" Devotion : Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is so good to point out to us two places where treasures are kept: on Earth and in heaven. These two places have certain attributes which are worthy of note. Earth as a place on which treasures are kept is limited: moth and rust on Earth could destroy the treasures, and even thieves could get access to the treasures and steal them. On the other hand, heaven as a place in which treasures are kept is not limited: moth and rust cannot destroy them, nor can thieves break through and steal. What one person may regard as a treasure may not be regarded as a treasure by another person. Therefore, whatever our heart yearns for and takes our maximum attention and quality of time may be regarded as treasure. God regards the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ as His utmost treasure. Therefore, those whose hear...

Title : My Light Salvation and Strength

"The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalms 27:1" Devotion : The Psalmist through a personal relationship with the LORD saw Him as his Light, Salvation, and Strength. The LORD as Light to direct him; the LORD as Salvation to rescue him; the LORD as Strength to give him divine health and fight for him. In the New Testament Jesus Christ is our Light, Salvation, and Strength. Jesus Christ as Light to make us the light of the world; Jesus Christ as Salvation to die on the cross to redeem us from the bondage of sin; Jesus Christ as Strength to send the Holy Spirit to edify us for ministry. We can experience Jesus Christ as Light, Salvation, and Strength only if we want to go the extra mile to have a very intimate relationship with Him. Dear beloved, do you know Jesus Christ as Light, Salvation, and Strength through a personal relationship with Him? Share your comments and testimonies here! http:/...

Title : God forgives and forgets

"As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Psalms 103:12" Devotion : In the Old Testament, God covered their sins with the blood of goats, sheep, and bulls (Psalms 32:1). This means that God could remember their sins by just taking the cover off. However, in the New Testament Jesus Christ died, atoning the sin of mankind with His blood; in other words, the blood of Jesus is superior to the blood of animals because it cleanses all sins and even our conscience is cleansed. Because of this, when God forgives our sins when we ask Him, He forgives them and remembers them no more. This is what Christians are encouraged to learn from God. Due to human nature, forgetting the sins of those who have wronged us takes time, but conscious effort should be made to forget them. This where the Holy Spirit comes in - when we allow Him to help us to forgive and forget, which will be to our own advantage. Dear beloved, how do you feel when people of...

Title : Focus on the Deliverer

"Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. Psalms 34:19" Devotion : Reading the opening scripture should encourage believers in Christ Jesus to keep pressing on in the midst of challenges or afflictions. The Holy Spirit wants us to focus on Jesus Christ, the Deliverer, because there is a sure Word that He will deliver us from all our afflictions or difficulties. When we focus on the Deliverer, He gives us more grace to overcome our obstacles. However, when we focus on the afflictions or challenges, doubt, fear, and anxiety are created in us which robs our faith and our ability to receive grace to overcome. Hence, we complain, murmur, and feel self-pity, which prolong the afflictions and draw us back in the faith; they may even rob us of our joy in Christ, which is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Dear beloved, are you going through any afflictions or challenges? What do you think you must do to overcome them? Share your comments here...

Title : God Is on My Side

"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31" Devotion : The Apostle Paul asked the above questions after touching on many subjects. Some of the subjects he touched on were the intercession of the Holy Spirit for us, predestination, justification, and glorification. All the things he spoke about are in our favor as believers in Christ Jesus. He taught these subjects to encourage the believers in his era not to give up their faith even though they might be going through a lot of challenges. He said the destiny of Christians has been planned by God, we have been declared not guilty by God, and we will be glorified in the end. Sometimes we are deceived to think that God does not care or that God hates us, because of the challenges or sufferings that come our way when we became born again. These trials are just passing for us to be glorified in the end. If God gave His Son to us, then He, by His Son, will give us all things because...

Title : Gods Desire to Save

"Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Timothy 2:4" Devotion : God is good. He is good because He does not want anybody to go to hell. Even though He does not want anyone to go to hell, He has left everyone to his own will; in other words, He has allowed mankind to make their own choices. The almighty God, through His saving plan, gave Jesus Christ to mankind that through Jesus all men can be saved. For this reason, the gospel is still being preached today; this is the saving knowledge God is conveying to the people of the world through His ministers of the gospel. The desire and expectation of the Father of creation is that sinners, evildoers, and the wicked will take advantage of the knowledge of Christ and be saved. If they don't choose the path of salvation, then they have chosen the path of eternal damnation. Dear beloved, what path have you chosen? Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstu...

Title : Beware of Deceit

"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Colossians 2:8" Devotion : The Apostle Paul exhorted the church in Colossae about the strategy of the enemy to entangle them again. The devil was going to do that through philosophy and vain deceit with respect to tradition and rudiments of the world. The strategy of the enemy and his cohorts of darkness still lingers on today. He has colored the educational system with subjects and courses that seek to mock our faith. An example is the big bang theory, which does not recognize God as the creator of the earth. Another example is a false belief by some Jews that without circumcision in the flesh, one cannot be born again. When a person becomes born again, all the old things, including human traditions and philosophies, pass away (2 Corinthians 5:17). What the believer in Christ needs to do is to adopt the Word of God and God...

Title : Powerless Enemy

"A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Psalm 91:7" Devotion : The mental picture painted by the opening scripture is how our enemies have been designed by God. They have been made to fall in their thousands at our side; they cannot come close to us. Therefore, there is no need, as a child of God, to fear the enemy. Besides the devil and his cohort of darkness, anything that seeks to oppose or seek our downfall is an enemy. All of these have been designed to fall flat before us. Jesus Christ emphasized this in Luke 10:19, where he said our enemies have been perpetually placed under our feet for us to trample over them and that nothing would hurt us. Let this consciousness be in you, and you will overcome all doubts and opposition in your life. Dear beloved, do you have opposition in your life? How do you seek to overcome these? Title : The New Man

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17" Devotion : The Christian must come to terms with God's view about who the Christian is. Anybody who is born again is made a new man or woman. This means his spirit is reborn into the kingdom of heaven, where even what is impossible with men can be possible. If you are sick and you receive Jesus Christ as Lord, God sees you as healed, so you keep declaring what God says you are, and you will be healed. If you were an armed robber, God sees you as a righteous man, hence you declare to yourself that you are righteous. If you were poor, God sees you as rich, so declare that you are rich, and you will be rich. In the kingdom of God, confession leads to possession. As a child of God, everything about you has become new, and you have no past; view yourself that way, and silence the negative imagination and accusation of the enemy. Dear belo...

Title : Always Abounding

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58" Devotion : The Apostle Paul, by the inspiration of God, has given the believer another key to live a victorious Christian life. The key is to always abound in the work of the Lord. He admits that as a Christian, the race is not always rosy, hence we must be steadfast and unmovable. The enemy would always attack the children of God who are doing the work of our Lord Jesus Christ. His motive is to make you think your labor for the Lord is in vain so that you give up the Lord's work. The only key to nullify his attack is to be devoted and immovable and to enjoy the work of the Lord, knowing that surely your reward will come. Dear beloved, do you feel like giving up on the work of the Lord Jesus Christ? Don't give up but apply the key in the article, and you will definitely share your t...

Title : Send His Word

Praise God for his goodness to me, it's been another year successfully completed. I bless God for his loving-kindness, mercy and grace over my life. Please pray for me. Thank you.  "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:20" Devotion : The Apostle Paul exhorts us to be imitators of God as little children (Ephesians 5:1). In the opening scripture, we see God sending His Word to heal and deliver the Israelites from destruction. Today God is counting on his children to use the Word to get things done. If you are a child of God and you are in need, your solution is the Word. Send the scripture relating to the situation that needs to be changed, and the Word will change it. Those who are moving from one church to the next seeking deliverance should know that the only one that can deliver them is the Word of God. What they need to do is find the scripture that provides the solution to their situation and send it in faith, and th...

Title : Living to Expectation

"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Psalms 19:1" Devotion : Elohim created the heavens and the earth and everything therein to worship and praise Him. After the fall of man, some of the creation of God stopped praising Him. In the opening scripture, we are told that the heavens declare the glory of God and the sky or firmament displays His handiwork. Verse 2 says day unto day utter speech, and night unto night shows knowledge. How many human beings do what the heavens and the sky do day and night? Some people give their praise and worship to idols or themselves, but they that know Elohim, the true God, should worship and praise Him more than the heavens and the firmament are doing. Besides worship and praise, they also show forth knowledge - the knowledge that God exists. Therefore, those who doubt the existence of God have no excuse at all because even the sky tells them about the almighty God. Dear beloved, how many times do you w...

Title : Good News

"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5" Devotion : The good news was derived from the finished work of Christ on the cross of Calvary. Jesus, who knew no sin, was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our wickedness, and the punishment we deserved was laid on Him; He gave us healing by His stripes. This is the good news Christ Jesus brought to mankind. He did all the work for us to receive the reward; all we need to do is to just believe and be a partaker of the blessings. Those who do not believe the good news will have themselves to blame in hell since they want to pay for their own sins in hell. If man could pay for his own sins, Jesus would not have come. Dear reader, the choice is now yours; either you believe in the gospel and partake of the blessings or reject it and suffer the consequences. Share your comments here! http://play.g...

Title : Gods Goal

"That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. Timothy 3:17" Devotion : The opening scripture has enlightened us about God's goal to train his children by His Word. His goal or objective is to bring His children, especially leaders, to a place of maturity and perfection for good works. God is not happy when his leaders fail; therefore, He trains them thoroughly and expects them to be good examples to their followers. Our goal as children of God is to submit to the training of God no matter how tough it may seem. Also, we should aim to thoroughly go through all the training planned for us so that we can mature and be ready for good works. Dear beloved, how ready are you for good works? Title : Doing the Word

"If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. John 13:17" Devotion : Jesus had washed the disciples' feet and had wiped them with a towel. When He had finished, He told them to wash each other's feet for a disciple is not greater than His master. He continued to tell them that it is good to know His Word and His work but happy will they be if they do them. He made it explicitly clear that knowing the scriptures is not enough but rather doing the scriptures is what brings happiness and joy. Title : Confidence in Christ

"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:6" Devotion : There are many witnesses to uncompleted projects by governments and certain key holders in the society. In the kingdom of God, this is not so, because Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end (Revelation 1:8). This explains our confidence in Christ that whatever He has started with us He is able to complete it or bring it to a perfect end. Dear beloved, what good work has God started in you? Have confidence in Christ Jesus, and keep believing in Him. Keep having faith in the Word of God, and He will perfect what He has started in you. Title : Covenant Keeping God

"Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; Deuteronomy 7:9" Devotion : A covenant is an agreement between a higher being and a lesser being with a seal of blood; in the covenant, the higher being promises the lesser being, and there is a demand of obligation from the lesser being. There are many covenants in the Bible: Adamic covenant, Abrahamic covenant, Mosaic covenant, etc. There could also be covenants between lesser beings with the invocation of a deity. An example is the covenant between David and Jonathan (1 Samuel 20:16). The opening scripture said we should know that God is a faithful God, He does not break His covenant, He is merciful to those who love Him, and His commandments go beyond a thousand generations. It presupposes that some children of God lack detailed knowledge about God. How well you know God determines how far you wil...

Title : The Crown of Life

"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. James 1:12" Devotion : Jesus Christ is the greatest leader in heaven and on Earth. He has many rewards for Christians, even for enduring temptation. This might come as a surprise to some Christians, but it is true; the opening scripture clearly states it, and the Word of God cannot lie. Christians who are going through temptation should be encouraged by this scripture to bear it to the end so that they can receive the crown of life. Besides receiving the crown of life, Christians who undergo temptation to the end prove their love for Christ. Dear beloved, do you love Christ Jesus? The proof of your love will be tested through temptation, and you must endure it to the end to receive the crown of life. Title : For or Against Jesus

"He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. Luke 11:23" Devotion : Jesus Christ of Nazareth made that profound statement in Luke 11:23. It is clear that no one can be on the fence in this world; you are either for Jesus or against Him. Either you are winning souls for Him or you are turning souls away from Him; there is no middle ground. Those who are in the world or those who are not born again are against Jesus Christ; no one can dispute it. However, those who are born again must ask themselves whether they are for or against Jesus. This is the truth from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's point of view. Dear beloved, it is time for you to ask yourself this personal question: "Am I for Christ or against Him?" Title : God Is Nigh

"The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18" Devotion : God has laid down a principle for Himself regarding whom to walk with and be close to. He said He will be close to a person who is of a broken heart and a contrite spirit. A broken heart is a heart of meekness, a life of continual humility. A contrite spirit is a heart that shows remorse for sins. These two qualities are very essential to God; therefore, a Christian who seeks to hear the voice of God or to be close to God must yearn to develop a meek heart and contrite spirit. Dear beloved, do you have these two qualities God desires from you? Share your comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : A Different Spirit

"Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Romans 12:14" Devotion : The world believes in a tooth for a tooth and an eye for an eye; this means that the world believes in vengeance. However, the Christian is of a different Spirit; he is born into the light of God, which believes in forgiveness. The Christian is blessed and has been made to be a blessing (Ephesians 1:3). Therefore, cursing or uttering curses is not the nature of Christ and hence not the nature of the Christian. The Christian must live according to his or her nature. Jesus Christ acknowledged that we will be persecuted just as He was persecuted. All the persecutions are training tools to build our faith; therefore, instead of cursing our persecutors, we must bless them and rejoice to share in the sufferings of Christ. Title : Swift and Slow

"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: James 1:19" Devotion : Apostle James, after being born again, noticed that the Holy Ghost had endowed him with special abilities that he had harnessed to accomplish much in the kingdom of God. These special abilities are to hear swiftly, speak gently, and control anger. He therefore exhorts every Christian to harness these qualities; they are already in the born again Christian, and he or she needs to make a conscious effort to cultivate them. Swift to hear/listening attentively is an ability to fight against dullness to hear; slow to speak is an ability that ensures that the speaker thought carefully before speaking, preventing hastiness in speaking, which leads to mistakes; slow to wrath is an ability of self-control to overcome unnecessary anger that leads to sin. It is vital for every Christian to cultivate these abilities so that he or she can grow to maturity and avoid many mi...

Title : Mind Check

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8" Devotion : The Apostle Paul, with his walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, obtained certain vital keys from the Lord. One of the keys is taking control of your thoughts; hence, he laid down a rule to keep a check on his thoughts. The mind produces both good and evil thoughts and therefore must be checked. Any thought that comes to your mind that has the qualities of truth, honesty, justice, purity, love, good report, virtue, and praiseworthiness are good thoughts and must be retained. All the other thoughts that do not fall in line with truth, honesty, justice, purity, love, good report, virtue, and praiseworthiness must be rejected or deleted. This is so essential because as a Christian, wh...

Title : SelfSufficiency

"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Corinthians 9:8" Devotion : The goal of the Almighty God is to make us self-sufficient in Him; no wonder the scripture says we are complete in Christ Jesus (Colossians 2:10). Grace is a special ability or favor from God. There is grace for everything that we desire to do in the kingdom of God: grace to be a banker, doctor, pastor, teacher, husband, wife, etc. What do you plan to do for Christ Jesus? The scripture is clear that God is able to make grace available to achieve that purpose. His grace is meant for good works; as long as your intentions are good, God is ever ready to supply you grace to accomplish it. When that grace is given, all the resources you need to accomplish that good work will journey to you miraculously. Dear beloved, what kind of grace do you need? Ask God for it in faith, and you will have it. Share your comments ...

Title : Sober and Vigilance

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Peter 5:8" Devotion : God has given us two important keys to overcome the strategy of the devil. These keys are soberness and vigilance. To be sober means to be serious or clearheaded, and to be vigilant means to be watchful or alert. If you walk with these two keys of seriousness and watchfulness, you can easily identify the tricks of the devil. The devil avoids Christians who are serious and alert because he is cast out and defeated. On the other hand, he dines with Christians who are not serious and are sleepy; these are the ones he is seeking to devour. Therefore, the choice is yours; either you choose to be serious and watchful and rule over the devil or be lazy and sleepy and be devoured by the devil. Dear beloved, what is your choice? Title : Beware of Covetousness

"And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. Luke 12:15" Devotion : Jesus Christ was teaching the disciples when a man interrupted him to ask his brothers to divide their inheritance with him. This man put an inheritance first before the Word of God, and Jesus had to counsel him. Covetousness is an evil desire of greed: a thirst for pursuing possessions without ever being satisfied. Jesus Christ said there is more to life than possessions; no wonder He said what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul (Mark 8:36). The soul is more essential than material wealth, and one must choose to secure the soul for eternal life. Beware of covetousness because it can change your focus and lead you to destruction. It has led many to engage in all manner of crimes for material things. Dear beloved, beware of covetousness, and be content with what God has gi...

Title : The Enemy Not a Factor

"Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Psalm 23:5" Devotion : The psalmist came to the point in his life that he realized that when God is with you, He makes even your enemies to be at peace with you. David was anointed king over Israel in front of his brothers, who never loved him. Truly a table was prepared before him in the presence of his enemies. God prepared David to ascend the throne of Israel, and he became the best king ever to have ascended the throne of Israel. The enemies could not stop him from becoming king. Likewise the enemy and his cohorts of darkness cannot stop the children of God from fulfilling God's dream. If you are reading this devotion and you are born again, know that you have enemies but they cannot stop you from becoming what God has planned for you. If you believe it, say amen. Title : Believing Lifestyle

"Then saith he to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. John 20:27" Devotion : Jesus Christ of Nazareth has designed a lifestyle for Christians. This a lifestyle of continual believing in the Word of God and the work of God. The Apostle Thomas was a man who lived by the principle of the world: the principle that states that seeing is believing. However, when he encountered Jesus Christ after His resurrection, he learned to adopt a new principle from Jesus Christ. Jesus taught him that in order to see or materialize the Word of God, he must first believe; hence, believing is seeing. This principle is also designed for us to live by today. We must live a life of continually believing in the Word of God and the work of God if we want to enjoy all the promises of God pertaining to our lives. Dear beloved, what Christian principles do you live by? Share your thoughts here! h...

Title : No Condemnation

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1" Devotion : When a person is born again, he is delivered from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of Christ Jesus. This born again Christian is delivered from condemnation. Those who reject the gospel are condemned because they did not believe, and Jesus said the Word, which they have heard and rejected, will condemn them (John 3:18). There is another kind of condemnation that is meted to Christians who walk in the flesh. To walk in the flesh is to walk in your own understanding; examples are talking from the senses and engaging in all manner of sins. On the other hand, the Christians who walk in the Spirit are not condemned. To walk in the Spirit is to talk faith, confess the Word of God, do the Word, and engage in godliness. Dear beloved, what kind of Christian are you? Are you a Christian who lives by your senses or a Christian who ...

Title : Bright Future

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105" Devotion : The Word of God is all that we need as believers in Christ Jesus to succeed. The Word has nourishment for the present and the future. Everything expires, but the scriptures do not expire, neither do they become obsolete; they were relevant to the saints of old, and they are still relevant to the saints of today. The Word of God, as a lamp unto our feet, helps us to make good decisions for the present. The Word of God as a light unto our path makes the future clear to us; it helps us to understand our future to walk into it with certainty. Go for the Word, and be transformed! Title : Bold as a Lion

"The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. Proverbs 28:1" Devotion : The scripture has given a comparison between the wicked and the righteous. Christians, who are the righteousness of God, are to be conscious of who Christ Jesus has made them. They are also to know who Christ Jesus has made the wicked. Jesus Christ has made the righteous as bold as the lion but the wicked to flee when no one is pursuing them. The Christian should never be afraid of the wicked in society because deep inside the wicked is a greater fear to flee from the righteous. Dear beloved, do you feel afraid sometimes? If you do, keep declaring, "I am as bold as the lion," and that fear will disappear. Title : Gods Delight

"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15" Devotion : Although the plan of God for man from the beginning is not for man to die, He is, however, delighted in another kind of death, that is, the death of His saints. He is delighted because when the saint vacates the body on Earth, he will be present with Him in heaven. This scripture should be a relief to those Christians who are afraid to die. Instead of the fear of death, which Christ Jesus delivered us from, they should work for the Lord with all zeal and diligence, knowing that when they sleep (die), they will be present with the Lord Jesus Christ in heaven. Dear beloved, are you afraid of death? Share the word. http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : In Everything

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6" Devotion : The opening scripture gives us a vital key every born again Christian must be conscious of: The key is prayer. Anxiety and worry do not solve any problem but rather make them worse. Prayer is the master key that solves every anxiety. The Apostle Paul used it, and he is encouraging every believer in Christ to use it as well. He used prayer in everything and came to the point of realizing that God would do nothing if he did not pray. For Christians who feel too lazy to pray, they must realize that God will do nothing for them if they don't pray. Prayer is seen by God as so important that if we do not pray, He  feels we don't need Him. Before we make a request from God in prayer, let us start with thanksgiving and appreciation of Him for what He's been doing for us. Let us also learn to intercede for our famili...

Title : Vital Use of the Mouth

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8" Devotion : The mouth is used to talk, eat, swallow, and drink; all of these are physical uses of the mouth. However, there is a vital use of the mouth that is of spiritual significance: The mouth is used for possession. Word talk and confessing scriptures leads to possession. The opening scripture has given us the secret behind the speech of human beings. Meditation is not just thinking deeply about the Word of God; meditation without utterance is not meditation at all. When we think deeply about the Word of God, we move from that level to memorizing and speaking under tone and lastly to the level of roaring the Word. God said this should be done day and night and should be backed by doing the Word; what fol...

Title : Waiting on God

"Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. Psalm 62:1" Devotion : Some trust in their money, others trust in their idols, some also trust their political power, and still others trust in their talents or gifts. Money, idols, political power, talents, or gifts can fail you, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Sometimes it is difficult to wait on the Lord; however, it is the only solution for lasting salvation. Waiting on the Lord means developing the character of looking up to God and His Word for direction. Sometimes you may have to leave the crowd and get alone with God in fellowship for specific direction. Only a personal relationship with the Lord will propel you to agree with the psalmist that the Lord is your salvation, rock, and defense. Dear beloved, how do you wait on God? Title : Wrath and Doubt

"I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. Timothy 2:8" Devotion : The Apostle Paul exhorted Timothy, the presiding bishop, to admonish his members to pray everywhere. In other words, there is no geographical limitation to prayer. There were some Christians who were lazy about praying at home; there were also others who loved to excuse themselves from church prayer meetings. Timothy, as a young pastor, had to identify such groups to encourage them to pray. The Apostle Paul also pointed out to Timothy what was hindering their prayer: wrath and doubting. He instructed them to lift up holy hands, that is, to believe their sins have been forgiven and refrain from anger and doubt. Anger against one another and doubt in their hearts in the midst of their prayer were obstacles to getting good results. Christians today must learn to walk in the righteousness of Christ and be fervent in payer. They should also be forgiving to overco...

Title : Born Again

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9" Devotion : The scripture above explains how to be born again; in other words, it shows the procedure to become a child of God. The person who wants to be born again must believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that God raised him from the dead; in addition, he must confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord of his life. After believing and confessing the Lord Jesus Christ, the person becomes born again and receives eternal life, which saves him from eternal damnation. This is the good news that Jesus brought to mankind and committed this word of reconciliation to the church. Every born again Christian has the responsibility for sharing the good news so that many people can be saved. Dear beloved, are you involved with sharing this good news? http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible....

Title : Give Him Glory

"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Revelation 4:11" Devotion : The cherubim and seraphim praise God without ceasing. The 24 elders prostrate themselves and worship God, declaring His glory, honor, and power. All creatures in heaven praise God. It is therefore good that the children of God on Earth should also praise and worship God. The only creatures whose praise God abhors are the devil and his cohorts of darkness, the wicked, and hypocrites. As children of God, let us make praise and worship our lifestyle; let us learn new songs to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Finally, let us make God and our Lord Jesus Christ see our value on Earth. Dear beloved, are praise and worship your lifestyle? http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline
