Title: Afraid?

So do not be afraid. I am with you. Do not be terrified. I am your God. I will make you strong and help you. I will hold you safe in my hands. I always do what is right.

Devotion: A working week begins this morning and some have to travel on bad and dangerous roads. Yesterday a story of kidnapping was told in the church, it was chilling but thank God the person remains alive after hefty ransoms was paid.
This is enough reason to be afraid before embarking on that journey on Nigerian roads, but you have a living God. He says do not be afraid or terrified because He's with you.
Have you given your life to Christ? Are you living in total obedience? If your answer to both questions is yes Congratulations. Just pray and embark on your trip. 
If your answer is No, take the steps now: Father, thank you for Jesus Christ your son, I accept Him as my Lord and Saviour, I give my life to him.  Please forgive me and keep me away from sinning in Jesus name. 
Dear reader you are safe under His Grace, do not be afraid. You will have testimonies in Jesus name. Hallelujah.

Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial.
