RECENT DEVELOPMENT IN THE MANAGEMENT OF COVID19.

‘This is what a senior British doctor had to say in a medical forum that was held recently:  For this pandemic there’s a greater chance of survival for those getting infected 3 months later like June 2020  than those who got infected 3 months earlier say February 2020. The reason for this is that Doctors and scientists know more about Covid-19 now than 3 months ago and hence are able to treat patients better. I will list *5 important things* that we know now that we didn’t know in February 2020 for your understanding.  1. COVID-19 was initially thought to cause deaths due to *pneumonia- a lung infection*- and so Ventilators were thought to be the best way to treat sick patients who couldn’t breathe. *Now we are realising that the virus 🦠 causes blood clots in the blood vessels of the lungs* and other parts of the body and this causes the reduced oxygenation . Now we know that just providing oxygen by ventilators will not help but we have to prevent and dissolve the micro...

Title : Talk Right

"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14" Devotion : The Psalmist has gotten so intimate with the Lord and sought to please Him. He identified that to please the Lord is to have a controlled tongue and a clean heart, therefore, he prayed to God for help to speak the right words and have a holy heart. The Lord Jesus Christ in the New Testament said every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof on the day of judgment (Matthew 12:36). As a believer in Christ Jesus, you need to be mindful of what you say and meditate upon if you want to live a life of continued success and peace. NIGERIA HEALTHCARE SYSTEM, WEAKNESSES AND SOLUTION

This pandemic has exposed the weaknesses of our healthcare system. Some of the weaknesses include 1) poor  or lack facilities, 2) old buildings,   3) obsolete equipment 4) poorly equipped laboratories 5) inadequately trained personnel due to lack of fund for in-service and overseas training especially in the use of modern equipment  6) lack of PPE and other health care consumables.  Other weaknesses include  7) poor regulation and management,  8) poor funding   9) low level of health insurance enrollment.  Solutions include -  1)the laws guiding hospitals establishment and management should be re-examined and strengthened so that all the weaknesses discovered now will be taken care off.  2) State owned hospitals at General hospital level and above should  have isolation ward with all preparedness and compliment of staff eg doctors, nurses, pharmacists and health attendants who are trained to handle contaminated materials....

No Excuse Is Allowed

"And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. Luke 23:43" Devotion : Jesus Christ is truly a role model for the world; He was dying on the cross and yet was able to save one criminal who acknowledged his sins and asked for mercy. There are many people who will never look for an opportunity to save someone when they themselves are experiencing need or affliction. However, Jesus has given us a new order to look for avenues to save others even if we may be going through trials. Jesus Christ has never given any excuse whatsoever to the Father and will not entertain excuses from His children. Therefore, if you are a Christian, say, "No to any excuse to save the lost." Dear reader, do you make excuses to save the lost and needy? Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Father Son Relationship

"And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD. 1 Chronicles 28:20" Devotion : King David was old and crowned his son, Solomon, king over Israel. King David was instructed by God not to build Him a temple because he was a man of war and had shed blood. Rather He chose Solomon to build the temple. David was still glad to provide the materials for the house of God even though he was not the one chosen to build the house of God. He provided Solomon with all the information he needed to build the temple; he even encouraged Solomon to do the work without fear or dismay, for God was with him. The story about David and Solomon depicts a responsible father son relationship; King David trained and raised Solomon to take over from him. Solomon, on the other hand...

The way forward for Nigeria (a personal response to debate by Chief Obasanjo in The Guardian newspaper Nigeria) 27/6/2020.

The ability to take a stand on any issue no matter whose ox is gored or previous personal opinion on the matter is the greatest attribute of OBJ and it's worthy of commendation.  I'm sure OBJ has analysed the situation in Nigeria today or been convinced by someone in the know that restructuring will solve most if not all Nigeria's reoccurring security, political and economics problems. Restructuring as I have been advocating on this platform in my little way will automatically restructure/diversify the economy. The healthy developmental competition that will come with restructuring will bring about new thinking, new approach to businesses - productive, distributive and extractive sectors of the economy. It will lead to less reliance of states or regions on the FG. The FG should derive income from offshore oil, custom duty, excise duty should be shared with the state or region from which it is derived eg NTC in Oyo state at a negotiated ratio. States should keep their VAT, c...

Title : In Him

"And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16" Devotion : It is one thing to study the scriptures and another to have fellowship or experience the scriptures. In other words, it is one thing to read about the Lord Jesus Christ and another thing to have fellowship or experience him. Apostle John believed the love of God because he had experienced this true love, therefore, he could boldly testify about it. He got to know about the nature of God; that is, God is love. Now he testifies that anyone who dwells or walks in love dwells in God and God in him. This has therefore become one of the standards to measure who truly is a Christian. Any person who claims to be a Christian and walks in love is a true Christian. On the other hand anyone who claims to be a Christian and does not walk in love is not a Christian but a charlatan. Dear reader, what shows that God dwells in you? Sh...

God's responsibility

"This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24" Devotion : There are things that are a prerogative of God; an example is the creation of day and night. This is purely God's responsibility; the Psalmist acknowledged that. When we identify that something is purely the responsibility of God we should rejoice and be glad when He does it. The opening scripture is exhorting believers in Christ Jesus to show appreciation to God for whatsoever He does; no wonder that in the New Testament He said in everything we should give thanks to God (1 Thessalonians 5:17). When we develop the lifestyle of rejoicing and gladness, God causes all things to work together for our good. He will also be prompt with our prayer request because He knows we will give Him the glory. Dear reader, what did you learn from the passage above? Work Hard

"Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1" Devotion : It is a proverbial saying that hard work pays. According to the scripture above the only hard work that pays is the one approved by the Lord. It is only God who is an expert builder; remember that He is the creator who created the heavens and the earth. Therefore, He knows the best materials to use to build a strong edifice. Our life is also likened to a building, hence it takes God to build a God success life. There are many secured places that have been broken into by robbers; there are many lives invaded by the devil even though they were keeping a watchful eye. All these watchful equipment or people can go to sleep but the Lord never sleeps. The choice is yours- either you depend on Christ to build you up and keep watch over you or you depend on your own ability and fail. Dear reader, what did you learn from the messa...

God's Time

"He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:11" Devotion : The opening scripture has thrown light on two different times: God's time and man's time. God lives in eternity but man lives in time; God is not limited by time but man is. He makes all things beautiful in His time. If we have this consciousness in us and submit our time to God's time, we will experience and enjoy the beautiful things He has in store for us. The children of God will never rush in life if they walk in the consciousness of God's time. Jesus is the alpha and the omega; He knows the beginning and the end of everything. Dear reader, do you want to know the beginning and end of something that is bothering your mind? Go to Jesus Christ in the person of the Holy Spirit. Walk in Love

"And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. Ephesians 5:2" Devotion : The opening scripture instructs God's children to walk in love. It means putting love to work; that is, acting on the love of God. He told us how to act on love: even as Christ had loved us. Christ Jesus sacrificed His life for us and we need to sacrifice for one another. A good aroma God wants to smell daily is our sacrifice for one another. We should feel the pain or suffering of the brethren even as we share in their joy or rewards. We should have compassion for the weak and poor in our midst and minister to their needs. Dear reader, how far do you sacrifice for the brethren? God Is A Wonder

"O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! Romans 11:33" Devotion : Since creation, God has never ceased to amaze His creation. If, perhaps, you want to search for God's wisdom and knowledge, don't go far from the Bible. Just consider Genesis to Revelations and come to the conclusion of God's wisdom and knowledge; it is very awesome. Furthermore, look into your personal life and consider His judgments and His ways; there are probably many wrongs or sins you might have committed which deserved to be punished but He forgave you. Finally, consider the ways God has been providing for you and taking good care of you; is it not amazing? There is no God like Jehovah. Dear reader, what can you say about your God? Never Give Up

"For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16" Devotion : The apostle Paul acknowledged that there is an outward man and an inward man. The outward man, which is the body, may grow old, but the inward man is made of the soul and the spirit which are renewed or refreshed, and do not have an end. He goes on to further explain that we should consider all the afflictions in our life as light because they have eternal benefits. Finally, he threw light on our focus: there are temporal and eternal things, and our focus should be on the eternal things. Dear reader, what have you learned from the passage? Consider the following: inward man, afflictions, and eternal things. God bless you. http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Quick Reminder

"Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9" Devotion : God had already told Joshua to be strong and courageous in Joshua 1:7. In verse 9 He had to remind Joshua again to be strong and courageous because Joshua had forgotten what God had told him in verse 7. Moses was gone from the scene and God replaced him with Joshua; Joshua did not believe that he could do it-he was still living in shock at the sudden demise of Moses. It happens when a person loses a dear one all of a sudden. When the Word of God came to Joshua the second time, he believed it and was able to lead the Israelites to the promised land. Dear reader, the Word of God is also telling you to be strong and courageous to accomplish the task He has assigned to you. Don't be afraid, for the Holy Ghost is with you. Praise the Lord! God is Good

"For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalm 100:5" Devotion : One nature of God is that He is good; He even gives rain and sunshine to everyone due to His goodness. His mercy truly is everlasting; since the day of Adam and Eve to this present age, His mercy is still active. His truth which is His Word transcends all generations. Goodness, mercy, and truth are all the nature of God. The Lord cannot change: He cannot stop doing good, showing mercy, speaking and living the truth. As children of God and partakers of His divine nature, let us imitate God by doing good, showing mercy, speaking and living the truth. Sleep in Jesus

"For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 1 Thessalonians 4:14" Devotion : The language that God communicates is very vital in understanding the scriptures. Jesus Christ sees those who die in him as sleeping (John 11:11); the reason is that He sees eternal life in them, therefore, they are not dead but alive. "This is because our spirit and soul goes to be alive with Christ while our body goes back to the soil. When Jesus Christ shall come back we'll be with him in new body."  Believers should embrace the language of God and refrain from weeping and wailing for the dead in Christ as though they have no hope. In Christ, death is a choice because the just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17). Prayer Feast

"Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17" Devotion : The apostle Paul wanted the saints in Thessalonica to develop the attitude of always loving to commune with God. He also wanted them to know that prayer is a lifestyle and not an event. Finally, the apostle Paul wanted them to know that the Holy Ghost is always looking forward to meeting them at the point of prayer. God is never tired of listening to His children's prayers. In fact, the prayers of His children are like incense (Psalms 141:2). The children of God need to feast on prayer: prayer should be enjoyed and looked forward to. The devil's weapon

"And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; Deuteronomy 20:3" Devotion : There is an unceasing battle with the devil and his cohorts of darkness when a person becomes born again. However, God Has armed His children to quench all the fiery darts of the enemy. One of the weapons of the enemy is fear. To overcome fear is to have faith in God and in the saving power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Never tremble, faint, be terrified of or fear the enemy because he has been defeated by our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. James 4:7 says, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" and 2 Timothy 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Dear reader, do you sometimes get frightened? Don't fear but resist the devil in the name of Jesus ...

Rejoice No Matter What

"Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Habakkuk 3:17" Devotion : The prophet Habakkuk had walked with God for years and had come to the conclusion that sometimes things don't go in our favor for reasons best known to God. In the midst of that he said he would rejoice in the Lord, he would be joyful in the God of his salvation. As a believer in Christ Jesus, know that sometimes God allows us to be tested, so things might not go the way we expect, but that should not take away our joy in Christ. The apostle Paul in the New Testament agreed with the prophet Habakkuk and said, "Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice" (Philippians 4:4). Dear reader, any time things seem difficult for you declare the words of Habakkuk, "The LORD God is my strength, and he w...

Free From Separation

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Romans 8:38" Devotion : The apostle Paul came to be persuaded that nothing can separate the Christian from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Dear reader, have you come to this point in your life, where you are also persuaded? Every Christian should come to this point in their personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. If you come to this point in your personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, you will neither complain nor murmur in difficult situations. In the end the love of God will rescue, shield, provide for you and give you peace to overcome. Glory to God! Share your testimonies here! As for me and my household nothing will separate us from the love of Christ. The LORD My Inheritance

"The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. Psalm 16:5" Devotion : The psalm above shows how the Psalmist was very intimate with God. We must also ask ourselves how intimate we are with God. The Psalmist considered God as his inheritance and his cup. We are living in an era where people are amassing wealth without the fear of God; even materialism has entered into the house of God. However, there are still remnants of Christians who have made the Lord their inheritance. Are you one of them? When the Lord is your inheritance, favor will always be on you so you can boldly declare, "the lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have goodly heritage." Dear reader, what is your most precious inheritance? Share your comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

God Needs You!

“Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.” Matthew 1:18 (KJV) Knowing that God needs you makes it easier to work with Him. The Most High God is an infinite Spirit, and even the heaven of heavens cannot contain Him (1 Kings 8:27). He is everywhere, doing different things at the same time. No one can fully understand the way He operates (Isaiah 55:9). Even though He is all powerful and can do everything for Himself, He needs human beings to work with Him to establish His will and purpose on the earth. The opening scripture is a typical example of how God needs mankind to establish His will and purpose on the earth. Mary conceived the Lord Jesus Christ, and Joseph, her betrothed husband, had to cooperate with God to bring His will and purpose to pass. Dear beloved, God needs you. As a child of God, you are the first person He will consider using to fulfill His will...

Banditry in (northern) Nigeria

My fear is that banditry may spread to other parts of the country especially areas that do not have anything to do with this people in terms of blood relation or culture. Yet all Nigerians must stand up and say no to all forms of banditry, thuggery, robbing, 419, ritualism, cultism and pen robbery in govt offices which is the root cause of the other anomalies.  Govts at all levels must ensure even development of man and land. All able bodied persons must be assisted to achieve a normal living standard - through education, learning of trades and mobilisation to carry out the trade, employment, assisted farming, cheap housing and stipend for the disable, elderly etc. There must be rigorous campaign to have number of children one can care for. The borders must be policed to prevent other unemployable nationals from coming in, especially in northern Nigeria. I know someone will talk of south, yes those who come from Benin, Togo and Cote de voir are masons, carpenters, painters, mechani...

The Mind

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3" Devotion : See how good and gracious the Lord is; He rewards every good effort of his children. It is clear in the opening scripture that the children of God whose minds are continuously on God, the scriptures, and the things of God will enjoy continuous peace. Dear reader, a very good sign that you trust the Lord is what you allow to occupy your mind. If your mind is filled with the Word of God then your heart will be full of the Word; this is a good sign that you trust the Lord and you will enjoy perfect peace. God bless you. Be blessed! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Unashamed of the Gospel

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16" Devotion : It is the duty of every believer in Christ Jesus to preach the gospel of our Lord. The apostle Paul is a vivid example of a Christian who was not ashamed of the gospel. He preached the gospel whether free or in bondage. He was stoned, beaten, shipwrecked, and imprisoned but he never complained and boldly declared his faith in our opening scripture. No Christian has any excuse whatsoever for not preaching the gospel; if the apostle Paul could preach in such tough circumstances then no excuse is too good for Christ Jesus to accept or pardon. Dear reader, are you ashamed to preach the gospel? Do you know anybody who is ashamed to preach the gospel? Share your comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Do You Know the Benefits of Unity?

“Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” 1 Corinthians 1:10 (KJV) Unity is oneness, harmony, or agreement. The origin of unity is God. The Godhead is made up of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one (1 John 5:7). They speak the same thing and agree on the same thing. No wonder Apostle Paul asked the Corinthian church to speak the same thing and to be perfectly united in their way of thinking and in their judgment. The key to overcoming divisions or factions is unity. Unity or oneness also activates the power of God to operate in the body of Christ (Acts 4:31). We as a church can accomplish much and win more souls for Christ. Our unity enables us to pool our resources together to reach further than what just one person can do. Dear beloved, make every effort through prayers, kin...

Who Has the Keys of Hell and Death?

“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” Revelation 1:18 (KJV) A key is primarily an instrument that gives access to a place or thing. For example, if you have a key to a door, then you can open the door with it to access the room. A key is also symbolic of authority or authorization. In the opening scripture, Jesus Christ indicated that He died and resurrected and has the keys of hell and death. The implication is that He took these keys from the devil. No wonder He could not be bound by death, the last enemy of mankind (1 Corinthians 15:26–27). The good news for us, the children of God, is that because we have Jesus Christ, we have access to these keys. Thus we have authority over death and hell, and that is why we can cast out the spirit of death in the name of Jesus Christ. Dear beloved, if you are born again, you have escaped hell, so don’t allow death to scare you. Use the name of Jesus Christ to over...
