Sleep in Jesus

"For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 1 Thessalonians 4:14"
Devotion : The language that God communicates is very vital in understanding the scriptures. Jesus Christ sees those who die in him as sleeping (John 11:11); the reason is that He sees eternal life in them, therefore, they are not dead but alive. "This is because our spirit and soul goes to be alive with Christ while our body goes back to the soil. When Jesus Christ shall come back we'll be with him in new body."  Believers should embrace the language of God and refrain from weeping and wailing for the dead in Christ as though they have no hope. In Christ, death is a choice because the just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17). Share your thoughts here!

Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded.
