Title: God of the impossible.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 KJV
Devotion: A day of Joy, happiness and deliverance from the guilt of sin. We bless God for grace to be alive again this year to celebrate Christmas. What are the lessons of Christmas.
God does not count your position - Jesus came like an ordinary man to a previously unknown family. This means no matter your beginning in life with hard work, consistency and most importantly GOD you can become great.
God offers forgiveness to all - There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit" (Isaiah 11:1-2). All who believe in Jesus are forgiven.
Christ will be our shepherd "And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 'Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!'" (Luke 2:13-14). Jesus's principles according to sermons on the mountain (Matt. 5-7) are guiding principles for Christian living.
With God all things are possible - His birth demonstrates this (Luke 1:46-50).
God honours faithfulness - Cousins Mary and Elizabeth each had miraculous reasons to rejoice! God had honored their everyday faithfulness by granting them pregnancies. Both seemed impossibilities; one, an old woman of 80 years; the other, a virgin.
God's ways are different from man's, God made the delivery of Christ easy. But God used Mary, an unwed teenage girl, to deliver His Christmas gift on a trip in a barn. He provided in His way, in His time. God will solve your problems in an easy way in Jesus name.
If we can wait on God, He will grant us inner peace, though it was winter, it was in a barn Mary waited on God and received peace.
God is in control of leadership and world events - Herod tried to locate Christ and kill Him but made a way of escape and Christ was saved.
God regards our lowliness, desiring to forgive and shepherd us through life.
As we enjoy the Christmas holidays let us reflect on these items and strengthen our belief in God, let's rededicate our lives to God.
