Title: Why Rejoice?

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Philippians 4:4 KJV
Devotion: Is it possible to suddenly start rejoicing without any visible reason? Will the person not be counted insane? In Yoruba there is a proverb that says "the flying dragon that dances on the surface of water has his drummer inside the water".
 It literally means there's a hidden reason or power behind every action. As children of God we are called to rejoice in the Lord, why because we belong to God. Yeah it is that simple, to have joy all you need to do is belong to God.
  If you have Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, listen to Him in John 14:27 Jesus says "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid". When you have Jesus' peace, it is more than enough reason to rejoice. So next time you see me rejoicing know that it is because I belong to Jesus, I have His peace.
  Dear reader, do you have joy? I mean real joy deep in your heart, the type that makes you confident that tomorrow is assured both physically and spiritually. If not come to Jesus today, He is at the door knocking He wants to sup with you and give you joy. (Rev. 3: 20).
