Title: Be not Wise!

Be not wise in thine own eyes: Fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Devotion: We are in computer age and maybe something smarter is on the way. So everyone of us feel smart and are proud to display our smartness in relationships with colleagues, business partners or clients. Most often this smartness is an act of cheating or exploiting others, which strictly speaking is not right with God.
A friend said I was not street smart some years back and I agreed with him. Why, because I was not doing and still don't do the things that make them rich or celebrated but I rather do the right thing and wait on the Lord. Do you know what, I always succeed because God guides me.
  Dear friend, when they tell you that you're not smart just smile and continue in the way of the Lord. Their smartness is foolishness in the presence of God. (1 Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.)
 Let God guide your heart to do the right thing always. Remember to be on the right side of God. Be blessed this day and always. Hallelujah.

Title: When your time shall be over, you'll fly away.

Psalms 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded. The moments of struggle, joy, triumph, and trials will all coalesce into a story complete.
