Title: Who Do You Call?

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Devotion: When we were children and in trouble we called on either of our parents depending on who was nearer to us. Growing up we were taught to call on Jesus in spiritual matters and to God's glory i still do.
  But there are some people who call on some other gods or deities beside God of heaven. A story was told of a pastor who called on god of thunder (Sango) when he was about to be knocked down by a moving vehicle. The incident showed what the 'pastor' believed in because out of the abundance of the heart his mouth spoke.(Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh).

Psalms 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded. The moments of struggle, joy, triumph, and trials will all coalesce into a story complete.
