Title: Only God Decides!

Devotion: To understand the statement of Jesus above we have to understand what led to it. The two sons of Zebedee (James and John) came to Jesus accompanied by their mother to seek favour. She wanted Jesus to give them priority in His(Jesus') kingdom. One to sit on Jesus'left hand and the other one on the right.
 This is human reasoning, it is not to be expected of servants of God. Many ministers of God today are preoccupied with what Car, House and other perks of office than heavenly matters, than welfare of the congregants.
  Jesus had to explain to her that the rules in heaven is different from here on earth and nobody gets anything by human favour. Only God decides who occupies what position. Even Jesus did not come so that He will be served but to serve others.   Friends out there are you expecting people to tumble over heads to serve you? It should not be so, you have to be a servant first, be humble then God will appreciate your effort and lift you up. God hates the proud and He loves the humble. (Proverbs 29:23)
 Dearly beloved, please think about this it can be a stumbling block on the way to heaven.
