Title: Waiting on God is not waiting in vain.
Psalms 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Devotion: Waiting sometimes can be frustrating especially when there's no time limit. But waiting for God is different in so many ways- no time limit, requires faith and being attentive to the signals from God otherwise one may miss the message. But the result is always full of joy and happiness. It is glorious. A person may disappoint but God never does. Whatever he says He will do He will do.
Joseph waited and endured hardship yet he became who good destined him to be. David waited nearly 2 decades before getting the crown. Ruth had to travel and worked on the grain field before attaining the motherhood status. The messiah Jesus Christ had to grow up and become an adult before starting his ministry. (John 2:4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.)
Waiting is not excuse not to do anything, Noah was busy constructing the ship, Joseph faithfully served his Masters, you too should be busy doing something profitable to God while waiting for the promise. Your faith must not shake therefore you must keep studying the word of God and apply it to your life while waiting. Waiting time is for spiritual growth.
Remember God's time is the best do not outrun God if you do you're serving mammon and the end of it is always disastrous. (2 Samuel chapter 15-16) Please share your thoughts with us.
