Title: Blessed are the Humble!
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for their's is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3 KJV

Devotion: The amplified Bible classic edition interpretes this verse fully to bring out the meaning: "Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous–with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the poor in spirit (the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!"
These are the words of Jesus Christ in sermon on the mountain in which he taught the Apostles before sending them out into the world. The teaching, (Matt chapters 5 to 7) serves as foundation of the ministry of Christ. Many of us followers of Christ will have to learn these words of Christ so that our foundation can be very solid and unshakeable. When we do that we'll not easily fall into the trap of sin, therefore we have to study the bible daily.
The lesson from the verse is that we must not be proud even as children of the most high God but be joyful because we know our place is Secured in the kingdom of God. We must not condemn sinners but bring them to the knowledge of Christ.
Dearly beloved, rejoice because the kingdom of God is yours but bring in more people by teaching them the words of Christ Jesus. Hallelujah.
