Title: Humble Yourself before God and Man.

Devotion: I've never seen whales before but its picture that I saw showed how awesome it is and I am humbled because as small as I am compared to whales (if trained) I can control it. So who am I not to humble myself before God who created the mighty oceans, the mountains, big animals etc.
 Even Solomon in all his wisdom and splendour understood that humility and fear of the Lord brings riches and greatness but the opposite beings down kings, queens and nobles. Solomon said in Proverbs 16:18 that "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall." Do you remember queen Vashti?(Esther 1: 12 &19)She was replaced with a slave woman Esther, King Nebuchadnezzar was humbled and made to eat grass for 7 years before coming to his senses. (Daniel 4 : 25-35) I am sure non of us will like to suffer that, even if not up to that. 
 Apostle Paul understood this very well when he wrote in his letter to the Ephesians chapter 1 vs 17-19 that "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power," the simple interpretation is that God gives wisdom to the humble and wisdom makes rich. 
   Dearly beloved, it's another weekend, let's go out there in humility not out of lack but in wisdom of God to care for the needy and elderly in our neighbourhood. Try it and be blessed in Jesus name, Hallelujah.
