Title: Shining Light in a Dark World!

Devotion: Psalm 119 vs 105 says God's word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path, meaning the Bible is light; we also know that God is word and His son Jesus is the light of the world. When we give our lives to Christ we walk in Jesus' light because He is light. 
   When we choose to walk in His light we embrace love, truthfulness and faith, it also means we surrender our lives to God. This light guides us as lamp unto our feet to see other disciples of Christ and we fellowship with them. As a result we are able to learn from other disciples and they too from us thus we grow together in God's love, righteousness and faith. 
   The blood of Jesus purges us of our sins so that we can reflect this light of God to unbelievers around us. We thus become shining light of God in the dark world and people begin to learn from us and give their lives to Christ. 
  I urge you dearly beloved to be a shinning light of Jesus to your community and bring them unto the knowledge of the word of God. The Holy Spirit will assist you in Jesus name. Hallelujah.

Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial.
