Title: True Love.

 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. ‭1 John 4:11 KJV‬

Devotion: Love is the only theme that can unite the world. Where there's genuine love there's no envy, no strive, no covet and there will be unity of purpose. The people will work together, live together, eat and drink together and there will be no fear.

  Unfortunately, love is absent in the world today therefore all form of vices are perpetrated. In the family there's envy between siblings, husband and wife. In the church of God, we observe that there is no love lost among the congregants. When someone did not attend service nobody asks of him or her, indigent students need financial assistance to attend school nobody cares all because love is absent.

  Yet we say it loud that we love God? Do we really love God or we are just after what we can get from God? Our confession of love for God can be noted from our prayers which is 90% asking God for one thing or another. We don't pray for the sick, the weak, the elderly, people in war situations and the bereaved. We do not support the poor, do not assist them to get a job and we do not help the aged in our neighborhood.

  Let's face the facts, how can we say we love God, who we have never seen, a1\ when we do not love our neighbours who we see daily. Our love for God should manifest in our love for the people around us(1 John 4:12). This is what makes us true disciples of Christ, if we love others just as we love ourselves.

 As we go out this day let us reach out to the needy, weak and aged in our neighborhood. Let's put our love for God into practice, humanity will be better for it. Be blessed in Jesus name. Hallelujah.
