Title: Trust — Anchored in the Unseen.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

Devotion: Trust is the quiet strength that holds us steady when the winds howl and the path disappears beneath our feet. It is not blind optimism, nor is it passive resignation. Trust is active faith—anchored not in what we see, but in who God is.
From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture is a tapestry of trust—woven through the lives of ordinary people who dared to believe in an extraordinary God.

Take Abraham, for example. God asked him to leave everything familiar and journey to a land he’d never seen. Later, He asked Abraham to sacrifice his promised son, Isaac. Abraham’s trust wasn’t rooted in logic—it was rooted in God’s character. “By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice…” (Hebrews 11:17). He believed that even if Isaac died, God could raise him again. That’s trust that defies circumstance.

Then there’s Daniel, who trusted God in the lion’s den. He didn’t compromise his faith to avoid danger. He prayed, knowing the consequences, and God honored his trust by shutting the mouths of lions (Daniel 6). Daniel’s story reminds us that trust doesn’t always remove the threat—but it does invite divine intervention.

Esther trusted God when she approached the king uninvited, risking her life to save her people. Her courage was born from trust in God’s providence: “If I perish, I perish.” (Esther 4:16). That kind of trust moves heaven.

And let’s not forget Jesus, who modeled perfect trust in the Father. In Gethsemane, facing the cross, He prayed, “Not my will, but yours be done.” (Luke 22:42). His trust led to our redemption.

Trust is not the absence of fear—it’s the decision to believe God is greater than our fear. It’s choosing to walk forward when the outcome is unclear, because we know the One who holds the outcome.

So today, whatever you’re facing—uncertainty, grief, delay, or disappointment—remember this: God is trustworthy. His promises are sure. His timing is perfect. His love is unfailing.

“Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.” — Jeremiah 17:7

Let your heart rest in that truth. Let trust be your anchor.
