Title: With God all things are possible?

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 KJV Devotion: Science has developed so much it can solve most human problems to the extent that some find it difficult to believe in the existence of God. Science has and is still trying to explain the existence of universe, how the galaxies were formed etc etc but it has no clue.  In the spiritual realm we have a race to complete, every human being have a destination but what manner of destination to where? Heaven to live with Christ or hell in the lake of fire. By God's standard it is impossible to achieve heaven because God demands 100% righteousness. Only Jesus achieved this because Jesus is God in man.    It is only possible for you and me by God's grace to make heaven because God made a way of escape (2Samuel 14:14c) for us so that we will not get lost forever. He sent His begotten son - Jesus Christ to the world to save us(John 3:16). Self rig...

Title: Assurance and Reassurance!

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 KJV Devotion: You probably need assurance and reassurance because of a situation beyond your control just as Joshua was timid to take over the promised land (Joshua 1:9). Joshua had to be reassured by God before he proceeded to take over the land.   Today God says Mr/Mrs/Miss ....... do not fear or be dismayed because I'm with you. I want you to be reassured that once you have Christ as your Lord and Saviour and you have the Holy Spirit living in you there's no cause for concern. No arm can come to you because God's shield (Proverbs 30:15) protecting you from fiery darts. His chariots of fire surrounds your home and business.   You can only fear if you backslide in which case the Holy Spirit will not protect you because it does not stay with sinners. I therefore urge you to give you...

Title: The Whole Armour.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 KJV Devotion: Apostle Paul in his counsel to you and me this morning wants us to be ready to face devil and his cohorts. He tells us to be ready for the spiritual and physical battle of life, battle against the number enemy which is self.  Paul likens the preparation to the Roman soldier saying we must put on the whole armour of god. Whole means everything not 99.999% but 100% by which we will be able to withstand the tricks of the devil.    There are very important steps to take to achieve this 100%, these which include: 1) As a child of God must standing for truth always no matter the outcome, 2) we must live right always both at home, our place of work, church of God and everywhere. People must see Christ in our righteous living. 3) A child of God must be loving and be ready to spread the gospel of peace,(Christ) home or abroad. 4) The shield of faith, wherewith ...

Title: Believe, Work and Receive!

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 KJV Devotion: God unlike a man never fails, whatever He says He'll do He will do. This is confirmed in the book of Prophet Isaiah 55:10-11. If you received a prophecy from God on any issue rejoice it will come to pass unless of course you backslide and failed to work towards receiving the prophecy. An example is this if God says you will become a doctor and you didn't attend medical school it unlikely to come to pass. Maybe you will become herbalist.   In essence when God says He will do, you as a person have a role to play. Do your own part - live right and work diligently towards achieving the goal and God will make it possible for you. Paul says "God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" believe it and work towards it.   In John 14:14 Jesus says if we ask anything in His name that He will do it for us. Have you asked and di...

Title: Do not allow Fear lead you into Sin

"Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Isaiah 35:4" Devotion : The heart of man is synonymous with the spirit of man, which is the true nature of the person. God communicates with people through their spirit because that is where God lives when that person becomes a child of God.    If you allow any kind of fear to overtake your heart, your heart will become fearful and predisposed to be used by the enemy, called the devil. Just as the prophet Isaiah(Isaiah 41:10) was asked to say to the fearful heart, be strong and fear not, you are also encouraged to say the same words to your heart if it becomes fearful.   What you say is what you get because the Holy Spirit is in you to ensure that your words come to pass. He will avenge your enemies, so do not fear the enemies of life, such as the devil, demons, sicknesses, poverty, disappointments, disgrace,...

Title: Acceptable Thoughts

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14 KJV Devotion: From the heart (meaning inner man) comes evil or good thoughts. Jesus says in "Matthew 15:19  For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies" Whatever a person does he must first think it out in his mind before saying it or carrying it out.  So what's in you heart this morning? What's on my mind? Will the thought of my mind be acceptable if voiced out? If not it means I'm not living right and God is not bound to accept it or make it come to pass.   Dearly beloved, let's examine what we say or planned to say or do and make sure God will approve of it. Do you have any different thought on this? Share it with us. It's your friend doctor Joel Olanrewaju visit me at ojaysjoel.blogspot.com for more devotionals.

Title: Give God Praises.

Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. 1 Chronicles 29:11 KJV. Devotion: We see in verse above how David praised God after he had assembled all the materials needed to build the house of God. Even though God stopped him from building the temple, David assembled the gold, silver and other materials needed for the building ready. David was very happy and pleased and he exalted God above any other gods. He worshipped God with joy.    Now we have to realise that there is no other god beside God of heaven who created the Earth and placed the stars in their places in the billions upon billions. It is a wonderful thing to see the stars in the night. God, our father is the creator of heavens and earth and the whole universe belongs to Him, He is the ultimate and there is no god beside him.  Dear re...
