Title: The Power of Thanksgiving Before Petition.

Philippians 4:6-7 KJV  [6] Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. [7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  Devotion:  In the quiet moments of life, when uncertainties cloud the horizon and burdens weigh heavy on the heart, there remains a simple yet profound truth: God is sovereign, and nothing is beyond His reach. The passage from Philippians 4:6-7 is a divine invitation, urging us to exchange anxiety for prayer, and fear for faith. But nestled within this instruction is a crucial element—thanksgiving.    Thanksgiving is more than a polite gesture; it is a bold declaration of trust. When we approach God with gratitude first, we acknowledge His past faithfulness, His present sufficiency, and His future provision. Before we ask, we remember. Before we request, we reflect on His goodness. And in doing ...

Title : Beware of Covetousness.

"And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. Luke 12:15" Devotion : Jesus Christ was teaching the disciples when a man interrupted him to ask his brothers to divide their inheritance with him. This man put an inheritance first before the Word of God, and Jesus had to counsel him.   Covetousness is an evil desire of greed: a thirst for pursuing possessions without ever being satisfied. Jesus Christ said there is more to life than possessions; no wonder He said what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul (Mark 8:36). The soul is more essential than material wealth, and one must choose to secure the soul for eternal life.  Beware of covetousness because it can change your focus and lead you to destruction. It has led many to engage in all manner of crimes for material things.   Dear beloved, beware of covetousness, and be content with what ...

Title: No Half Duty, but the Whole!

"But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God." Acts 20:24 (KJV) Devotion:  This message is a call to unwavering commitment in our divine assignment. While it is commendable to focus on building a business empire, raising godly children, or advancing in a career, we must ensure that nothing distracts us from fulfilling the Great Commission given by our Lord Jesus Christ:   "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."Matthew 28:19 (KJV)   Apostle Paul exemplified this dedication, forsaking personal comforts, friendships, and worldly pursuits for the sake of Christ—even to the point of death. While we may not all be called to endure the same trials, we must strive daily, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us in the work ...

Title: Peace in the World full of Terror.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.   Devotion: The world today is full of terror in various forms - banditry, kidnapping, ritual killing and armed robbery so much that people go out and are not sure of coming back safe. Even in the comfort of homes there's palpable fear because of kidnappers. The matter is worrying because government seems helpless. But there's someone who can give you peace from all these(John 14:27). The person is Jesus Christ who I plead with you to accept and hide yourself and family in Him.  Below are examples from the Bible of how God protected His own in the face of terror.     The Bible is full of powerful examples of finding peace in the midst of terror and uncertainty. One of the most comforting examples is Jesus' promise of peace to his disciples in John 14:27. He reassures them that the peace he gives is unli...

Title : No Condemnation.

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1" Devotion : When a person is born again, he is delivered from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of Christ Jesus. This born again Christian is delivered from condemnation. Those who reject the gospel are condemned because they did not believe, and Jesus said the Word, which they have heard and rejected, will condemn them (John 3:18).    There is another kind of condemnation that is meted to Christians who walk in the flesh. To walk in the flesh is to walk in your own understanding; examples are talking from the senses and engaging in all manner of sins. On the other hand, the Christians who walk in the Spirit are not condemned.    To walk in the Spirit is to talk faith, confess the Word of God, do the Word, and engage in godliness. Dear beloved, what kind of Christian are you? Are you a Christian who lives by your senses or a...

Title: Reward for Giving.

John 6:13 KJV “Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.” Devotion:  Today, I continue the discussion on giving that we began yesterday. In John 6:12, we learn about a young lad who had only five loaves of bread and two small pieces of fish. It was just enough for him to eat once or, at best, twice in a day. Yet, he willingly offered it without hesitation or complaint.   Jesus, the miracle worker, accepted the offering and gave thanks to God for it. Then, in an astounding display of divine provision, He fed five thousand men—not even counting the women and children. We know that in gatherings of this nature, there are usually more women than men (as women tend to participate in church programs more actively). In total, Jesus may have fed a minimum of ten thousand people, yet there were still twelve baskets of leftovers.   I boldly assert that these ...

Title : Giving and God's Faithfulness.

Luke 6:38 (KJV) declares:   "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." Devotion:  In life, generosity is more than a noble virtue; it is a spiritual principle deeply rooted in the Word of God. The Bible teaches us that giving is not just an obligation but an invitation to experience divine abundance.   This verse speaks of a truth that transcends time—the certainty that when we give from a sincere heart, God ensures we receive abundantly in return. It is a reminder that generosity is not merely about material possessions but encompasses kindness, compassion, and selflessness.     However, life's challenges often test our willingness to give. At times, the enemy seeks to discourage us by making generosity feel like a loss rather than a blessing. We might encounter situations...
