Title : Seek first

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33"
Devotion : Jesus Christ is the true Son of God; He knows every detail of what pertains to the kingdom of God. He said as children of God we should seek the welfare of the kingdom of God: love God and His Word, be concern about His kingdom and avail ourselves for Him to use; being righteous is simply being like Jesus Christ of Nazareth. As we become kingdom minded, He said the houses, degrees, cars, family, money etc shall be added. In fact, they shall be a bonus package of life in His kingdom. What do you need in life as a child of God or a man without Christ? The key is, seeking His Kingdom and His righteousness.

Psalms 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded. The moments of struggle, joy, triumph, and trials will all coalesce into a story complete. When that time comes, the soul, unburdened by the weight of the mortal frame, ascends beyond the veil of this world—taking flight toward eternal rest.   You are not bound to the temporal; your essence is celestial.
