Title : Coming Together

"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25" Devotion : There is a corporate anointing we receive any time we come together as believers in fellowship with our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the anointing Jesus prayed for the disciples that they may be one in Him.  This anointing causes us to love one another, create fellowship with one another, pray for one another, be kind toward one another, learn from one another, exhort one another, sympathize with one another, etc. Therefore, those Christians who neglect or forsake Christian fellowship are losing many benefits and will soon fall away from the faith.  Dear reader, do you enjoy Christian fellowship? Title : Charity from the heart

"And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. 1 Corinthians 13:13" Devotion : Faith, hope, and charity are important virtues of Christianity. By faith we believe that God exists, hope gives us expectation and drive to move on, and charity or love is a physical demonstration of an inner work.     Charity or love is the greatest, because through charity or love faith and hope makes sense to us. A very good example is the coming of Jesus Christ to the world to redeem man from sin; this is an outward manifestation of the love of God which makes sense of our faith and hope in God.    Dear reader, which of the three:faith, hope, and charity is the greatest? Share your thoughts with other readers! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline The greatest is LOVE and that's God himself. Title : Quick Response

"He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. Psalm 91:15" Devotion : God has promised to respond quickly to His children. How beautiful to hear that from the almighty God! Our responsibility  is to love God, obey Him totally then call Him; those who do not call on Him with the scriptures will wallow in trouble, bondage, dishonor, short life, and sin. Why not call Him today and enjoy His answer, deliverance, honor, long life and salvation?  Share your comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Take no Offence

"Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! Luke 17:1"  __AND [Jesus] said to His disciples, Temptations (snares, traps set to entice to sin) are sure to come, but woe to him by_ _or through whom they come!(amplified bible) Devotion : Jesus Christ noted that offences will come, but warns the one through whom it will come. He said the offender (tempter, the one who caused others to sin) will be severely punished.    This shows how much Jesus Christ loves His children; His children are so dear to Him that He does not want them to be offended (tempted, snared to sin )  Offences could lead to pain, hatred, discouragement, shyness, bitterness, etc.; therefore the Lord Jesus does not want to entertain them. Likewise, the children of God do not have to entertain offences. We need to pray against temptation as much as possible so believers can live in peace, joy, and love.   Dear reader, have ...

Title : Waiting renews us

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31" Devotion : The children of God have a way of renewing their strength: waiting on the Lord is the way to get a renewed vitalized strength.  Spending time with the Word of God and the Spirit of God in an atmosphere of prayer is waiting on the Lord; a purposeful fasting is another way to wait on the Lord.    In waiting we are asking God to take total control; as we do that He anoints us with new strength, new energy, new thoughts, new direction, new vision, etc.  Dear reader, how do you wait on the Lord? Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline I wait on the LORD in fasting and prayers.

Title: How to Fulfil Your Destiny!

“The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.” Habakkuk 3:19 (KJV) Beloved, the Father of all spirits is the creator of destinies. He creates destinies of the living (Genesis 1:26–30). If you become born again, your destiny is changed to conform to that of the Kingdom of God (Colossians 1:13). The prophet Habakkuk came to know one thing—that if he makes the LORD his strength, the LORD will quicken his feet to fulfill his destiny on time.   Dear beloved, do you want to fulfill your destiny on time? If you do, then make the LORD your strength; let the Word of God be your everything (Colossians 3:16). Meditate on it day and night and confess the promises therein into your life. This will produce divine energy in you to move with supernatural speed and fulfill your destiny. Hallelujah! You are an overcomer!   Prayer Point: My faithful and loving Father, tha...

Title : Rest in our Father

"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. Hebrews 4:9" Devotion : The only people who have been promised true rest are the children of God.   The only place you can find rest is in Christ Jesus, for there is no rest for the wicked. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." The question I'll ask you is where are you? In Christ or in "christ", do you still visit the man of small gods?    In Hebrews 13:19, the bible says "But I beseech you rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner" and if restored to you, you will find rest. His promise is peace (rest) that is different from what devil gives. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.  Dear reader, do you share the gospel? Please do so that at the appointed time you will rest just ...

Title : Trying Times

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4" Devotion : The Psalmist admitted that there are trying times as a child of God. He said in the midst of the trying times we should know that God is with us, therefore, fear has been defeated. The rod and staff of God is available to comfort us and punish our enemies.   That we are children of God do not mean there will not be afflictions but we are sure He will deliver us from all of them. "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all." Psalms 34:19.      Therefore whatever you may be going through right now be it financial problems, marital issues, sickness, loss of job or a loved one even children misbehaviour take it all to God and he will assist you out of the problems. For God says in Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will gi...

Title : The Creator

"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Colossians 1:16" Devotion : The scripture above is describing Jesus Christ of Nazareth; He is the Word of God made flesh and dwelt among men (John 1:14). Allowing things indeed were made by Him and for Him.  This is more reason why people should find the need to be born again. When you are born again you are born of the Word and have access to the Word of God and you become joint heir with Christ.  As joint heir with Christ, what belongs to Jesus Christ belongs to you. Therefore, all things were made for believers in Christ Jesus. If this becomes your consciousness you will lack nothing.    Share your thoughts with other believers! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : A Bigger Reward

"After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. Genesis 15:1" Devotion : The God of heaven and earth be blessed for possessing all knowledge and wisdom; He knew what Abram was going through - Abram had no child. He came to Abram at the point of need to encourage Abram to press on. He exhorted Abram not to fear because He was his faith, his shield, and his exceeding great reward.   Faith to overcome all doubt; shield to protect him from the enemy; exceeding great reward to meet all his needs. If you are born again you are the seed of Abraham and all the blessings mentioned by God are your inheritance.   Praise the Lord! Title : Pace Setter

"And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. Genesis 2:2" Devotion : God is such a good God; He is so transparent that He gives us good example to follow. He is indeed a PACE SETTER.  He created heaven and reshaped the earth in six days and rested on the seventh day. He rested not because He was tired and needed a rest but set a day aside so that man can rest and worship Him on that day.  A day that man can appreciate and adore Him. In the old covenant it was one day set aside to rest and worship God. However, in the new covenant everyday has been sanctified by the blood of Jesus to worship God. We are permitted to set a day aside to rest from our labour; we are not compelled to assign a specific day to worship God. This is the kind of liberty Jesus Christ Has given to the new creation through His blood.  The believer in Christ Jesus is encouraged to set time aside to fellowship with th...

Title : Seedtime and Harvest

"While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Genesis 8:22" Devotion : Is it not wonderful to hear this? Of course it is, there are things that remain on earth. Seedtime and harvest are two events that are in our power to readily control. If you ignore seedtime, don't expect a harvest; they go together. Our day to day activities comprise doing something that will bring us a harvest or doing nothing to reap no harvest.   The other elements such as cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night exist to enhance our seedtime and harvest. Dear reader, are you doing something useful that will give you a good harvest? http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : How to Pray

"After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Matthew 6:9" Devotion : Jesus Christ did not want the disciples of his day and those of today to pray amiss so he gave a format for prayer.  1) First of all, you need to acknowledge God as your Father; meaning you need to have a personal relationship with him.  2) Secondly, worship and praise him, and welcome his presence.  3) Thirdly, ask his will to be done in your life as it is in heaven. 4) Fourthly, ask for your pressing need especially your daily provision.  5) Fifthly, forgive all who have wronged you and ask God to also forgive you for your sins. 6) Sixthly, pray for his power of deliverance from evil and temptation.   7) Finally, ascribe praise unto him.   When we about to pray we should have all these at the back of our mind, especially worship/praise, and thanksgiving before our request; as we do these in faith and receive in faith every prayer we mak...

Title : The Law and the Prophets

"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Matthew 7:12" Devotion : There is one thing that many people love about Jesus Christ of Nazareth; that is, His simplicity. He made things easy for his disciples. He has also made things easier for his disciples of today.  Instead of memorizing the law and the prophets, He said simply meditate on Matthew 7:12 and put it to work and you would have fulfilled all the law and the prophets.    The question is what do you want men to do to you? Do you want men to love you, respect you, give you chance, give you gifts etc? Even so do to them likewise. Do you want men to hate you, disrespect you, take away your chance, deny you gifts etc? Even so do to them likewise.  The world would have been a better place to live if everyone was living by this principle but unfortunately that is not the case.   Dear beloved, the choice is yours, however, be...

Title : Overcoming Temptation

"And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Matthew 4:3" Devotion : The faithfulness of God allows every man to be tempted within his ability; therefore, God does not allow us to be tempted beyond our ability to overcome. He provides a way for us in his Word to win over temptation, therefore, instead of complaining what one needs to do is to find that way of escape in the midst of the temptation. If you don't find it what do you do? What you do is to pray for God to show you that way of escape.   Quote the scripture above to him and He will give you an answer. He also gives us the grace to bear temptations just as He gave Jesus Christ the grace to endure and overcome his temptations.  We should also understand that God tests us but the devil tempts us. The intention of God in testing is to promote us but the intention of the devil in temptation is to discredit and run us down.  Dear beloved, what did lear...

Title : The Wise Man

"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: Matthew 7:24" Devotion : God has a way of measuring who is wise and who is not wise; His criterion is based on who is obedient to his Word. Those who are doing his Word are referred to as wise and those who are not doing his Word are referred to as simple or foolish.  Doing the Word has good reward but disobedience to his Word has just punishment. The one who hears the Word and does it is building his/her life on the rock and the one who hears the Word and ignores it is building his/her life on the sand.  Both builders are tested by the rain, flood, and wind. The one who built on the rock stood the test; in fact it was not shaken by the rain, flood, and the wind. The one who built on the sand fell and great was the fall.  Now those who take advantage of the grace of God to do the Word of God are prepared to withstand the pressures of lif...

Title : Straight Gate

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Matthew 7:13" Devotion : Jesus made it clear according to the opening scripture that there are only two gates in the world: one leading to eternal life and the other leading to destruction. The names of the gates are straight/narrow gate and broad/wide gate.  The straight gate represents Jesus Christ and the broad gate represents the devil. Entering the narrow gate is asking Jesus Christ to be Lord and Saviour of your life and making diligent effort to follow him.  The straight gate consists in discipline, holiness, submission, love and obedience to God's Word. Due to the nature of the narrow gate many people avoid it because they want to live as they please.   On the other hand, the broad gate consists in indiscipline, selfishness, sins, and the pleasures of this world. Many people choose the wide gate because of the cares and ...

Title : Better than Fowls

"Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Matthew 6:26" Devotion : When our Lord Jesus Christ asked us to behold the fowls of the air, we must go out there and behold them and know how they are fed by our heavenly Father.  Birds and other animals indeed do not sow, reap or gather into barns and yet they are fed by God. However, we who are created in the image of God are worried by what to eat and other material things.  Our Lord Jesus Christ wants us to understand how animals are fed so that we can stop worries and anxieties in our life. Our Lord also wants us to know that we were made better than animals and have more value than they are. If we believe that he can meet our needs then he will do according to His riches by Christ Jesus.  Dear beloved, any time you are attacked by the enemy to worry declare these words to yourself, "I am better than t...

Title : Key of the Kingdom

"And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3" Devotion : Jesus Christ has made a profound statement worthy of meditation. Except every person who calls himself/herself a Christian is converted and become as little child he/she will not enter into the kingdom of heaven. What could Jesus mean?  Let us look at the qualities of little children. They are dependent on their parents, honest, forgiving and forgetful, trust their parents, accept whatever their parents give them, teachable, and obedient. Likewise Christians who are truly converted are dependent on Jesus Christ, honest, forgiving and forgetful, trust God, accept what God gives them, run to God for answers, teachable, and obedient.   Dear beloved, are you truly converted as a little child? Share your comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Teaching His Word

"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:20" Devotion : In some parts of the world teaching is relegated to the background and teachers are despised and not given the place they deserve. The kingdom of God on the other hand holds in high esteem teachers of God's Word. Teaching God's Word is elevated above all things; this has been highlighted by the opening scripture.  In fact Jesus Christ commanded new converts be taught God's Word so they would grow to maturity in Christ's doctrine. Without teachers the Word of God cannot be passed from one generation to the next and this could pose a great danger to the spread of the gospel of Christ Jesus.  He further exhorted the teachers that He was with them even to the end of the world.  It is a privilege to be called to teach the Word of God and those called to do it should do it with passion and love.  Dear bel...

Title : Fear God

"And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28" Devotion : The opening scripture throws light on who we are to fear; Jesus Christ exhorted his disciples on many occasions to fear not but on this occasion pointed out who they are to fear. The body is predisposed to various attacks from the devil and his cohorts of darkness but the soul is out of their reach. The only person who has access to both the soul and the body is God; He is the creator of the soul and the body and has power to destroy both in hell.    Therefore, the deceived who think hell is a myth should understand that hell is real and God has the ability to destroy them in hell if they don't repent from their sins and make Jesus Christ their Lord.        Let us fear God and obey His commandments; for this is the whole duty of man, Ecclesiastes 12:13. God bless you. http://play.google...

Title : Jesus is willing

"And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Matthew 8:3" Devotion : The leper met Jesus Christ when He had come down from the mountain and made a humble request from the Lord. The response from the Lord Jesus Christ signifies the willingness of the Lord to answer our request if it is made from a humble sincere heart.   See how humble the Leper was as demonstrated in his request (prayer) to Jesus - "And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean". Matthew 8:2. He worshiped Jesus also; we also as children of God must come before God in humility and worship him before laying out prayer requests before him.    He touched the leper and said, "I will" and healed him. He also demonstrated that we should not be afraid to touch the sick to pray for them.  Dear reader, kindly know that the Lord is always willing to attend to your req...

Title : Never doubt God.

"If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Matthew 7:11" Devotion : Jesus Christ is indeed God; He could discern the mind of his audience and made the remarkable statement above. He said God, our Father, is able to give us much more than what we give our children.  This should encourage someone to pray without ceasing. We should never doubt God because Jesus has given us a scripture to the effect that God is ever willing to give us what He has promised in His Word. Jesus told us how to ask - He says ask in my name and I will give you John 14:14. We must also ask with the right motive and not for selfish ambition or to oppress. Apostle James told us "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts". James 4:3  Jesus Christ has also revealed by the scripture above that God only gives good things to His children. ...

Title: Your Security Is Assured!

“For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.” Psalms 91:11-12 (KJV) Beloved, the kind of security you have determines the kind of protection you have. The security of the child of God is the most powerful and most potent of all securities in the world. Angels are spirit beings and servants of the Most High God. They are very powerful compared to human beings. When a person becomes born again, God dispatches angels to protect that person and to serve him (Hebrews 1:14). Beloved, the Christian is an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ and thus has access to angelic ministry (Romans 8:17). You can command your angels to work for you. As a matter of fact, give them work to do by instructing them on a daily basis so that they can bring you good tidings. You have all the help and protection you need; therefore, do not fear, but be conscious of what you have and use it. Prais...

Title: You Can Overcome Sin!

“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” Romans 6:14 (KJV) Beloved, there are some children of God who are still struggling against sin. They make all manner of funny excuses for the indulgence of sin, and they have made it difficult for themselves to overcome sin. As a child of God, it is easy to overcome sin. Those who lived under the Old Testament could not overcome sin because they were not born again and thus were under the law. No matter how hard they tried, they found themselves breaking the law (Hebrews 8:7–13). In the New Testament, it is easy to overcome sin because Jesus overcame sin for us and gave us grace to continually win over sin (Romans 6:1–end).   Thus, when you are born again, you have the DNA(Holy Spirit) of the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ in you, therefore, sin shall not have dominion over you. Beloved, now that you are a child of God, know your position in Christ—that you have been called unto virtue...

Title : Honour Your Government.

"They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's. Matthew 22:21" Devotion : The Pharisees wanted to entangle Jesus Christ with matters of the law regarding taxes but Jesus was smarter than they could ever think. He told them to pay their taxes and also give God His due. A lot of people these days misinterpret this scripture, especially those who are not born again. One musician was asked why he mixed gospel songs with his circular music and he quoted the scripture above; this is a misuse or misinterpreting the scripture. Dear reader, do you honour your government by paying taxes or you evade them? Share your comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title: God Is Not Tired of You!

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9 (KJV) Beloved, the opening scripture gives a picture of God asking Joshua again to put himself together and work on what He had commanded him to do. Joshua was so overwhelmed with the demise of Moses that he had to be encouraged on more than one occasion to take up the leadership mantle and lead the children of God to the promised land (Joshua 1:2, 6, 9). Dear beloved, God is not tired of you, and neither has He given up on you. Just as He was with Joshua, He will be with you. Joshua finally took the encouragement of God, put himself together, and acted on God’s Word. The good news is that he was able to lead the children of God to the promised land (Joshua 3:17). You too can do the same as a leader or potential leader of God’s people, be it in the church or in society. Have an open mind and attentive spir...

Title : Beware

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Matthew 7:15" Devotion : One of the signs of the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is the emergence of false prophets. In fact they will be so many that the love of many will grow cold, especially those who become victims of such false prophets.   It is our duty to identify the false prophet using the Word of God; (meaning we must read and understand the scriptures thoroughly psalm 119 : 48, 78, 148 etc) scripture says by their fruits we shall know them.  Let us use the Word of God to check their conducts, actions, preaching, speeches etc and we will know whether they are false prophets or true prophets. Once they introduce something non scriptural you know they are false prophets. (Do not argue just leave for a Bible teaching church).   Dear reader, have you ever been a victim to any false prophet? http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible....

Title: Are You Prepared for His Coming?

“When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:” Matthew 25:31 (KJV) Beloved, the Coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is at hand. All the signs that will precede His coming have been fulfilled. What we are left with is for Him to show up in His glory with His holy angels.    The question is, are you prepared for His coming? He is definitely going to come, and as a child of God, it will be a shame to miss His coming; therefore - Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh, Matthew 25:13 and abound in the work of the ministry of Christ Jesus. Beloved, don’t take church attendance for granted. Be at church meetings, saturate yourself with the Word of God, pray without ceasing, and fellowship with the Holy Spirit continually, and you will not miss the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Hebrews 10:25; 1 Thessalonians 5:17). That day you will be...

Title : Two masters

"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24"  *Devotion :* When Jesus Christ used the word "serve" He used to represent total devotion. In other words, no one can be totally devoted to two masters.    Due to personal differences, he will be drawn to one than the other; hence love one and hate the other. God and mammon or worldly riches are two different masters; you cannot choose both since God demands full devotion to Him, spirit, soul, and body.    Jesus Christ said what shall it profit a man if you gain the whole world and lose your soul. It means if you are given the opportunity to choose, choose to serve God. Dear reader, if you have the opportunity to make a choice between serving God and worldly riches, what will you choose?    I will choose the kingdom of God and His righteousness first then I know as he p...
