Title : Rest in our Father

"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. Hebrews 4:9"
Devotion : The only people who have been promised true rest are the children of God.
  The only place you can find rest is in Christ Jesus, for there is no rest for the wicked. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." The question I'll ask you is where are you? In Christ or in "christ", do you still visit the man of small gods? 
  In Hebrews 13:19, the bible says "But I beseech you rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner" and if restored to you, you will find rest. His promise is peace (rest) that is different from what devil gives. John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
 Dear reader, do you share the gospel? Please do so that at the appointed time you will rest just as God rested on the 7th day from His labour. Gen 2:3. Do not forget we are labourers in His vineyard. 
Stay blessed and kindly let people know that heaven is real and hell is real: heaven gives eternal rest and hell gives eternal damnation and restlessness. God bless you.

Psalms 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded.
