Title: SELAH!
Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah. Psalm 85:2 KJV
Devotion: Selah! What means this word? It is common place to see it written in front of verses especially in the book of Psalms. Let us examine the verse above "Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, Thou hast covered all their sin". Selah. Thou here refers to God, the Almighty, the omnipotent, Alpha and Omega, the Everlasting God. He is the only one who can forgive Sin, not just one but all Sin.
If God forgives you your sin is it not then worth it to Pause, Calm down and think about it? To watch it and not return to sin again? If yes that's the meaning of the Hebrew word - SELAH.
Dear reader, think about it, it is worth it to come to God through his only begotten son Jesus Christ, John 3:16, and let God forgive you your sin. When that is done pause (selah) and think over the life you used to live. Then make sure not to backslide into your old self. May God bless you as you do. Hallelujah!
