Title: Fear God and gain Knowledge.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: But fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7 KJV
Devotion: There are two types of fear, negative fear eg fear of death, accident or losing a loved one while positive fear is fear of God, your parents because you love them, they love you in return so you don't want to hurt them. 
 As a child I feared my dad so much I did my best to please him most of the time and his love and care for me was much. Whenever he sent me on errand I swiftly did, now that is wisdom because there's always a reward for obedient child.
 In the passage above Solomon wrote "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge" He is correct in that when you fear God you live a life of obedience and in return God rewards you with His peace that surpasses human understanding. John 14:27a. Now that is knowledge, a fool is disobedient and suffers the consequences both here and hereinafter. 
 Dear reader, won't you rather fear God and gain knowledge? As I for me that is my choice may God help me. What's your thought on this matter, time is running out make a choice today and be blessed in Jesus name.

Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial.
