Luke 11:33

Devotion: In the afternoon today I attended an outing and the place was filled up with men, women, young and old flamboyantly dressed. Most came in big expensive and luxurious SUV. Each tried to outshine the other. What I try to say is that each person blew his trumpet. I did in my own way, my head was lifted up.
I read the story of a christian lumberjack. When asked how he coped working with his colleagues he said they don't even know that he was a Christian. He hid his lamp under the bushel so that nobody saw his light. In the situation he cannot carry out the commandment of Christ according to Matt 28 vs 19 that says "go ye ....
Christian tend to be less flamboyant, yes it is good talking of things of the world. But when we are talking spiritual we must let the world know where we stand and what we stand for. We must let people see Christ in us, we must let people hear about the good news of Christ. It cannot and must not be hidden. Our light must be placed on the candlestick for people to see because we are "are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid". Matthew 5:14.
Dearly beloved, how do you behave inside the bus, train, in your place of work or in a gathering? Do you join the bandwagon or you let the light of Christ Jesus shine from you. Please let us know your stand on this. Hallelujah.
