Title: From Idolatry to a Life in Christ.

Devotion: We all have a past, a past that is distinct from our present status. Most families in my community had family diety, an idol they used to worship. Growing up I lived with my great grandmother who converted to Christianity few months before she died. She lived in same house with 3 other aged women who made sacrifices to idols but she never participated in it. She told me giving food to wooden images amounted to feeding rats. 
  Many children of God from Africa have similar stories, thank God we were brought up in the ways of God and we had encounter with Jesus. That encounter had turned us, me in particular to a different person, a person strangers meet and the first they will say is "pastor Sir" even as I am not a pastor. Me who came from nowhere, have received mercy, just by Grace and faith in Jesus, I am a child of God(John 1:12-13) This is a miracle in my life and it gives me joy when I share my testimony and sing praises of Him, who rescued me from idolatry and sinful life.
  How do I praise my Saviour? I praise him in my total obedience, in giving my means to the poor, helping the elderly, preaching the good news of Christ to the unbeliever and singing worship songs. I also praise God in my body by not misusing it knowing it is the temple of God (1Corinthians 6:19-20).
 I urge you to come to Christ today, accept Him as your Lord and Saviour and start living a life of obedience in Christ Jesus. Your testimony is on the way. Hallelujah.

Title: When your time shall be over, you'll fly away.
