Title: Unity, not Uniformity!

[25] And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 
Devotion: During Jesus' earthly ministry he casted out demons and some people amazed at these miracles said Jesus was using demonic power to cast out demons. Perverted thoughts there. That brought out the verse of today from his teaching.
 You and I have been called into ministry but we can be in different denomination and remain united in Christ the head of his church. All the we need to do is to examine our lives to see how we can be agents of unity, but not uniformity. Unity doesn't demand that we all sound and act the same, but it does mean we should strive for harmony amidst diversity. 
 We can start to foster unity in the spaces and relationships God has placed us in by following steps listed below. (1)It could be overlooking a minor offense (Proverbs 19:11), (2)listening with understanding to someone with differing viewpoints (Philippians 2:3-4), (3)redirecting a conversation rooted in gossip (Proverbs 20:19), (4) apologizing for a hasty response (James 5:16). (5) teaching young converts the fundamentals of Christianity and (6) Criticizing in love. Every day we have a choice to pursue unity, do it.
 If we do these we'll help to build unity in the body of Christ without compromising Jesus' teaching. Please share your thoughts on this with us here. Hallelujah.
