Title: Bible verses on health!
3 John 1:2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." This is love of God exemplified. God wants you and me to be in good health all the time, being in good health means we'll have energy to serve God and ourselves. It will ultimately lead to success.
Matthew 4:23 "And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people."
Our God is a great healer and he's always ready to heal us in the spiritual and physical. All we need to do is trust and obey Him. When He commands; Do not misuse your body, do not engage in sexual immorality, do not take recreational drugs and do not smoke we should obey. He does not want you and me to take alcohol which destroys the liver. So obedience (Exodus 15:26) is the key. Remember our body is the temple of God(1Corithians 6: 19-20) We must not use it carelessly.
Serving God leads to spiritual well-being which improves our health(Exodus 23:25). Therefore do not hesitate to serve God with all your might and means.
1 Timothy 4:8 "For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come." Let us put godliness first which is obedience as above then we must not neglect physical training which requires discipline. Doing this will profit us here and in the hereafter.
Most importantly do not neglect prayer - by yourself, Congregational and by church elders when in need. Apostle James says in James 5:14-15 "Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him."
I therefore urge you to give your life to Christ, live a life of obedience, nurture your mind with the word of God. Engage yourself is self discipline, physical training and eat good food to nourish your body. Jesus comes very soon, be prepared to welcome him and be blessed in Jesus' name.
