Title: Good News: The Gift of Salvation.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."(Isaiah 53:5)
Devotion: The message of the gospel is one of profound love, sacrifice, and redemption. It is the good news that stems from the finished work of Christ on the cross of Calvary. As the prophet Isaiah declared, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."(Isaiah 53:5). This verse encapsulates the heart of the gospel—Jesus Christ, who was without sin, bore the weight of our transgressions and suffered in our place so that we might be reconciled to God.
Jesus willingly endured the punishment that was meant for us. He was bruised and afflicted, yet through His suffering, He brought healing and restoration to all who believe. This is the essence of grace: we did nothing to earn it, yet Christ paid the price in full. As Paul wrote, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9). Salvation is not something we achieve through our own efforts—it is a divine gift, freely given to those who accept it.
The good news is that Christ has already done the work. He has made the way for us to receive eternal life, and all that is required of us is faith. Jesus Himself proclaimed, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." (Mark 1:15). Those who embrace this truth will partake in the blessings of salvation—peace with God, the assurance of eternal life, and the joy of being called His children.
However, rejecting this message comes with dire consequences. The Bible warns that those who refuse to believe will face judgment. "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:18). Hell is not a place where sins are paid for—it is the result of rejecting the only means of salvation. If mankind could atone for their own sins, Christ’s sacrifice would have been unnecessary.
Dear reader, the choice is yours. Will you accept the gospel and receive the blessings of salvation, or will you turn away and bear the consequences? The invitation is open to all: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13). Choose life, choose grace, and embrace the good news that Christ has brought to the world.
