Title: Walking with the Lord.
Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Devotion: To walk with the Lord is to live in daily communion with Him, aligning our thoughts, words, and actions with His will. It is not merely a passive belief but an active journey of faith, obedience, and trust.
The Bible reminds us in Micah 6:8, "He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?" Walking with God is an act of humility, surrendering our own desires to follow His path.
When we choose to walk with the Lord, we are assured of His guidance and presence. Psalm 23:1-4 declares, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me."
In moments of uncertainty, His Word becomes a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path (Psalm 119:105). Through prayer and reading Scripture, we grow closer to Him, learning to recognize His voice and follow His leading.
Walking with the Lord also means walking in love and faith. 2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us, "For we walk by faith, not by sight." Faith does not require full understanding, only trust in His promises. And as 1 John 1:7 says, "But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin."
Today, may we be reminded to take every step with Christ, seeking His wisdom, following His righteousness, and embracing His love. No matter the challenges of life, the one who walks with God walks in peace and confidence, knowing that He will never leave nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:8).
Let us walk boldly, trusting in His promises, and rejoicing in the journey of faith. Amen.
