Title: Turn To God, An Invitation of Grace.

Scripture focus:  "Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts." Zechariah 1:3 KJV

Reflection: Throughout history, God has never stopped reaching out to humanity. In the Old Testament, through the prophet Zechariah, God issued a tender yet urgent plea: "Turn ye unto me... and I will turn unto you."

Centuries later, in the New Testament, we hear that exact same loving invitation echoing from the lips of our Savior. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus extends His arms wide to all of us:

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

This is the ultimate demonstration of God’s boundless love—not just for a select few, but for all of mankind. God knows that the heart of man can stray, and that we are easily weighed down by the trials and temptations of this world. Yet, because He does not want a single soul to perish, He continually calls us to return to Him. To bridge the gap we created, He sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to purchase our grace with His blood on the cross.

It is easy to fall into the trap of self-reliance, trusting in our own goodness. We might tell ourselves, "I do good works, I pray daily, and I give alms to the poor; surely God will accept me based on my merits."

However, the Bible reminds us of a humbling truth:

Romans 3:23 — "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

No amount of charity, religious routine, or good behaviour can earn us a spot in heaven. Salvation is entirely a free gift of God's grace, made possible only through the finished work of Jesus Christ. As Ephesians 2:8–9 beautifully explains:

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."

Right now, Jesus is standing at the door of your heart, waiting and knocking. As He describes in Revelation 3:20:

"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in..."

He wants to redeem you, heal you, and restore you back to God the Father. No matter how deep, dark, or heavy your past may feel, God is ready to wash you clean. As He promises in Isaiah 1:18:

"Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."

Tomorrow is never promised to anyone. Therefore, we should never brush off conviction by telling ourselves, "I'll repent and turn to God tomorrow." The Apostle Paul urges us in 2 Corinthians 6:2:

"I tell you, now is the time of God’s favour, now is the day of salvation."

If you hear His voice calling you today, do not harden your heart. Come to Jesus just as you are. No matter how big your burdens or your mistakes may seem, His grace is more than enough to save you, transform you, and give you eternal life.

May God bless you as you open your heart and give your life to Jesus today. Amen.
