Is Your Faith Being Tried?

“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter 1:7–9 (KJV)

An awareness that the child of God needs to come to terms with is the fact that their faith will be tried in the process of becoming mature. A Christian who complains in trying times shows their ignorance, and they are likely to fail. It should now be clear to us that trials are part of the Christian life, and if we want to mature and be ready for greater tasks and blessings, then we must embrace trials and continue through to the end. Remember that if we suffer for Christ Jesus, we shall also glory in Him (Romans 8:17). In the opening scripture, we can see that trials produce praise, honor, and glory. Additionally, they increase the love of Christ in us, our faith becomes stronger, and we are filled with joy in expectation of the second coming of Christ. Dear beloved, remember that trials don’t come to stay but come to build us up for glory; thus let us be conscious of them and endure by the Word of God through to the end. Let us learn from the trials of Abraham, Joseph, Job, Apostle Paul, and our Lord Jesus Christ and be blessed. Hallelujah! Be an overcomer!

Prayer Point: Dear heavenly Father, please give me more grace to endure and learn from my trials till the end. Amen!
