Title : Young Man

"Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. Psalm 119:9"
Devotion : Young men are people endowed with so much talent and energy that sometimes they do not know what to do with them and therefore abuse or misuse them. 
  The opening scripture instructs the youth to heed the Word of God. As a youth you must understand the word and be conversant with it so that it becomes part of you. That's why the psalmist says in Psalms 1:2  "But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night."
 This is the only way to curtail the abuse of their gifts and talent and live a holy life.
 If they heed the Word of God sin will be far from them, and they will not wander from the commandments or ways of God. 
   Dear reader, are you a youth? Then delight yourself in His statutes: do not forget His word. Psalm 119:16. If you are, then heed the Word of God and shun evil company. Psalm 1: 1(read the whole psalm 1). Stay blessed. Happy Sunday to you all.

Psalms 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded. The moments of struggle, joy, triumph, and trials will all coalesce into a story complete.
