     Hymn 568 - What a Friend we have in Jesus

Ye are my friends. Joh. 15:14
1 What a Friend we have in Jesus,
  All our sins and griefs' to bear
  What a privilege to carry
  Everything to God in prayer!
  O what peace we often forfeit
  O what needless pain we bear,
  All because we do not carry
  Everything to God in prayer!
2 Have we trials and temptations!
  Is there trouble anywhere?
  We should never be discouraged
  Take it to the Lord in prayer.
  Can we find a friend so faithful,
  Who will all our sorrows share?
  Jesus knows our every weakness
  Take it to the Lord in prayer.
3  Are we weak and heavy-laden,
  Cumbered with a load of care
  Precious Saviour, still our refuge
  Take it to the Lord in prayer.
  Do thy friends despise, forsake thee/
  Take it to the Lord in prayer.
  In His arms He'll take and shield thee,
  Thou wilt find a solace there.
    Amen.

Jesus demonstrates His type of friendship with us daily in that He is a friend at hand. All we need to do is just call on him in prayers, fellowship with in the word of God and we are settled.
 But you, me what type of friend are we? Do we backbite, can we easily be reached for assistance, do we remember our friends in prayer and in our substance? Are we reliable and can we lay down our lives for our friends? We must be able to answer these questions positively before we can call ourselves friends to anyone.
   Dearly beloved, let us return to our friend Jesus Christ and emulate him in all our activities. May God help us in Jesus name Amen. Share your testimony with us please.
