Title: A Bright New Day.

“This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24)

Devotion: Each morning is a gift from God. The very fact that you wake up is a testimony of His mercy, for many lay down to sleep but do not rise again. Sleep itself is a mystery—when you are deeply asleep, you are unaware of what happens around you, almost as though you were temporarily absent from this world. Yet, by God’s grace, you awaken with full consciousness, restored to life.
In sleep, we dream. Dreams are another wonder of God’s creation. Sometimes they reveal hidden truths, sometimes they reflect the past, and at other times they foreshadow the future. “For God speaks once, yea twice, yet man perceives it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night…” (Job 33:14–15). These mysteries remind us that man is not merely flesh, but a being of spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). The flesh we can see and touch, the soul we perceive through emotions and thoughts, but the spirit is unseen—it comes from God, or it can be corrupted by the enemy, depending on whom we choose to serve.
The flesh, left unchecked, is unruly. But when subjected to the Spirit of God, it is transformed. “Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16). Those who serve God bear the fruits of His Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22–23). These fruits are visible to all, and they testify that you are a child of God. Conversely, those who reject Him also reveal themselves by their works.
Therefore, I urge you to choose the living God—the One who grants you breath, who sustains you through the night, who gives you dreams and brings them to pass. He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who promised eternal life to all who believe. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16).
Today, accept Christ into your life. Surrender your heart to Him, and you will know the peace and joy that surpasses all human understanding (Philippians 4:7). Salvation is the greatest gift, and it is offered freely. “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2).
