Who Is Your Friend?

“He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.” Proverbs 18:9 (KJV)
Show me your friends and I will tell who you are.
A friend is a person whom one loves and trusts, a close companion or comrade. The virtue of making friends is inherent in every human being, and  that is why is rare to see someone without any friends. We all want to be in the company of people, either our families or friends. A friend can influence you to do what is right or wrong, and that is why it is very important to choose friends carefully. Use the Word of God to choose a friend who is diligent, godly, and trustworthy (Proverbs 10:4). A diligent, godly, and trustworthy friend will influence you to be like them: productive and fearing and serving the Lord. But a careless or slack friend will only lead you to a wasteful and destructive life. May the Holy Spirit lead you to choose the right friends. Hallelujah! Be friendly!
Prayer Point: Dear Holy Spirit, please lead me to find the right friends that will help me to be more devoted to the Lord. Amen!
