Are You Qualified?

1 Timothy 3:4  One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;

Devotion : In the secular world you have to have a  basic qualification to occupy a certain post, but the qualifications vary some will state as follows - Bsc with 5 years experience, others Master's degree or a PhD. In ministry God has the same standard for all. No variations and His standard cannot be diminished for someone to occupy a post. 

In Paul's first Epistle to Timothy chapter 3 the standard is well spelt out and must be strictly adhered to because any deviation will lead to disaster. We have seen it happen in so many self styled denominations where immorality reigned. We heard of self styled Bishops with many wives, concubines. There are also ministers' children into drugs, alcoholism and the like.

 Many ministers can be compared to Eli, they will be judged accordingly. Read 1 Samuel 2:1-end. It is better to be ordinary Christian than be a missionary, a priest,  deacon or teacher and end up in Hell. 

  I will urge anyone willing to take up mission work to double check himself according to the word of God in 1Timothy 3.
