Title: Are you Ready for the New City?

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4 KJV.
Devotion: Jesus Christ says in The Gospel according to Saint John 14 : 1 - end, that he was going to prepare a place for you and me, a mansion like no other. In a new city where there's no sorrow, no death - Rev 21:4. I imagine the place will be a beautiful place, no bandits, terrorists and the like. A place where you sleep and close your two eys, a place where's there are no thieves, witches or wizards a blessed place.
Living in Nigeria now attracts a lot of hardship, uncertainty, if you go out you're not sure of returning home, you go to church service on Sunday you're afraid terrorists may attack and kill. We live in fear.
I begin to ask myself why all these? Why can't we live peacefully, where are these problems from? Then I realize that most of us confess one believe or another but only with our mouth and not in our minds. We Nigerians are very religious but faithless, we live in total disobedience, we commit all sorts of atrocities even in the place of worship.
Now I realize that we need Revival starting from the homes, individuals, we all need to return to Christ, and follow instruction as in 2 Chronicles 7:14  "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land".
Jesus stands at the door, knocking He says "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" This is the key to the new heaven, new city where there's no death. He is waiting for you and me to repent and be converted, tomorrow might be too late 2 Cor 6:2.
Dear reader, are you ready? Be prepared always. If you have any questions or concerns share with us. Be blessed in Jesus name. Hallelujah!
