Title: Who Is Your Shepherd?
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1 (KJV)
Devotion:The kind of shepherd you have will determine your desired destination. If you want a good destination, then follow a good shepherd. A shepherd is a person trained to tend and care for a flock, especially a flock of sheep. There are good shepherds and bad ones. The only good shepherd that God has given to humanity is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (John 10:11).
In the Old Testament, God Himself was the Shepherd of Israel. But in the New Testament, He has revealed Himself to us in the person of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ so that we can see Him and appreciate Him. God is a Spirit, and we cannot see Him with our physical eyes.
Beloved, in this world you are either leading or being led, there is no middle ground. Following the devil through your own imagination, knowledge, and worldly wisdom will only result in shame in the end. Choose to follow Jesus Christ wholeheartedly, and all your needs and wants will be taken care of, and you shall have a glorious end (Matthew 11:28–30). Hallelujah! Be An Overcomer!
Prayer Point: My dear Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for being the good shepherd. Indeed, You gave Your life for me so that I can enjoy eternal life and freedom from sin. I promise to let others know that You are the only good shepherd they can trust, and they can be free from all kinds of bondage and struggles. Amen!
