Title: Stand firm!

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:13 ESV
Devotion: Paul in his surjourn must have met with a lot of opposition, adversities and finally persecution and finally executed. Yet he stood firm in faith, evening preached to his persecutors. Therefore he was in the right position to counsel us to stand firm in faith.
  There are areas now where people take joy in killing Christians, they even came to a church not far from where I worship to massacre people, yet to God's Glory people at re undaunted the church is opened and people attend service there. 
  I was afraid recently when a strange face showed up in our service, I behaved faithless but glory to God for restoration of Faith, I went back to God and sought forgiveness and asked to be strengthened just as Peter did when he denied Jesus. "Matthew 26:75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly". 
  Let's stand firm in faith but any stumble there's room for repentance. If you have a different opinion on this please share with us. Be blessed in Jesus name. Hallelujah!

Psalms 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded.
