Title: Reward for Humility.

The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life. Proverbs 22:4 ESV
Devotion: Thesaurus definition of Humility is "the absence of any feelings of being better than others" and this is the expectation of God from us His children. When we humble ourselves before God it shows that we depend on God for support or assistance. The bible says lean not on your own understanding Proverb 3:5, now doing this is humility.
 None will humble himself before another if he does not Fear the other. This other person is God in this circumstances, so our humility or humbleness shows our reverent fear of the Lord. The bible says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; with wisdom comes riches and honour.
 I can now safely conclude that it is wisdom to Fear God and Humble myself before Him. This is wisdom and the reward for it is Riches, Honour and good Life.

Psalms 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial.
