James 1:5 KJV Devotion: To navigate life successfully a person needs wisdom and not just wisdom but God given wisdom. Apostle James knew these and was aware of the fact that only God can give wisdom liberally without attached string.  Worldly wisdom is incomplete and deceptive. This question comes to mind because of the many women I come across daily among co-workers, in the church and elsewhere I have not noticed traces of what Lemuel described in most. A Dorcas (Acts 9:36) is hard to come by while Vashti(Esther 1:12) seems everywhere.   Why are such person hard to meet? I can guess the reasons are that virtuous women are truly scarce these days,  you don't see them because they are busy taking care of their home. The younger generation (social media generation) hardly read bible and care less about what the says about virtuous women.  ...

He refers to the spiritual, undetectable centre of life where issues of life are decided and made manifest. She grieved so much that she cannot be consoled. An elderly neighbour would wake up in the morning and go to her and sit with her all day. She would just sit beside the grieving woman without uttering a word.  After a short while the bereaved stopped grieving and started talking and returned to her normal life. The elderly lady was asked why she was just coming to sit all day without a word of comfort.
