Title: Cast your Cares upon Jesus!

casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7 KJV
Devotion: In our part of the world where social welfare is not available for the people, hardly can anyone handle their life issues without reaching out to family and friends for assistance. We have to seek assistance from uncle's, aunties to get job, pay for education, house rent etc unfortunately most of the time the assistance do not come.
 To reach the top unbelievers reach out to spiritual homes either traditional or "men of God" aka prophets. It is unfortunate that people are usually disappointed from these sources because the helpers themselves need help from the master Jesus Himself. He said in Matthew 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest".
  Apostle Peter reechoed this to the people by saying casting all your care upon Him (Jesus); for he careth for you. I urge you this morning to come to Jesus seeking the Kingdom of God first (Matt 6:33). This is to say accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and obey the laws of God, all other things the worldly people run after in the traditional homes or fake prophets will be added to you without stress.

Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial.
