Title: Who is Your Father?

as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:12 KJV
Devotion: Every living person is a son or daughter of a father even the ones born through assisted fertilization, someone's sperm fertlized the ovum and it can be traced. Family lineage is so important that people have spent fortune to trace back thier origin especially many black Americans. Now that is earthly lineage, what is your spiritual lineage?
 Who is your spiritual father? Every individual has a believe in one thing or the other, it could be self, his/her parents, science, gods or God. The one you believe in is your spiritual father. If you have given your life to Christ, then Christ becomes your spiritual father and you become his son.(John 1:12) In that wise you become coheirs with Jesus.
 I plead with you this morning to accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour so that you become a son of God and enjoy the spiritual benefits both here on earth and the hereinafter. The Lord bless you as you do. Hallelujah.

Psalms 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded.
